Live Cruising Review Symphony of the Seas 3/12/2022 - 3/19/2022 Plenty of Pictures!!!

Recommended Posts

@BennyBrunI have not sailed RC in 20 years. Definitely want to try again, which ship would you recommend? Used to sailing NCL with beverage package and specialty dining. I see you mention UDP- which I assume is unlimited dining package, is this something you purchase at booking and what about a drinking package?  Thanks and really enjoying your reviews. Even though I just did 14 days on NCL Epic in February I am so ready to get back on a ship.

Loving that sushi plate and tempura.

Day 1 Embarkation Day

Jamies Italian Lunch… I miss my eggplant parmigiana!  The tiramisu is not in a cup and I like it!

A 5 course lunch on embarkation day.  That's starting the cruise off right. 👍

That doesn’t look like a Whole Maine Lobster.

I recommend Oasis Class ships, Symphony is a great value for your money but if money is not an issue then go for the Wonder.  The unlimited dinning package is worth the month on Oasis Class ships and it is NOTHING like NCL’s specialty dinning.  To me NCL’s specialty dinning is like eating at Royals MDR.  One you try Royals Specialty dinning you will never look back at NCL’s specialty dinning.  Royal does not really restrict you to the 1 appetizer, 1 soup or salad and 1 entree like they do on NCL.  Although Chops will stick with the 1 Entree policy because they don’t want you to waste food mostly.  The drink package on Royal is better.  Yes you have to pay for it (watch for sales on the cruise planner and you can ask what’s a good price to buy on CC) but you get so much more.  If you get the UDP, and you are a wine drinker you might not need beverage package because you get 40% off bottle of wine up to a certain dollar limit but that limit is pretty high and covers most bottles.

I do like the EPIC though, it’s a cozy ship and the staff is wonderful.

We are sailing on Harmony in 3 weeks and are following along with your trip report.  Enjoy your cruise and thanks for posting!

Thank you so much.  Harmony is a wonderful ship!  It will most likely be busy so make your reservations as soon as you board!
