Not sure about the status of things in British Columbia but here in Ontario you can get a rapid antigen test done at Shopper’s Drug Mart for $40 and at Walmart for $19.97. Both with results in hand in 15 minutes. Might be worth checking out.

That article is from 2021 when cruising was just restarting. Obviously it was also wrong:)

Cunard (according to their site which updated on Monday) are not requiring vax on QM2 after 17 April, and after 17 May on QE. 

 

This is why I'm not sailing on QM2 on 24 April.

Really? Sounds dangerous. No mask and no vax. Hope that they still do testing?

Ya. Neither Shoppers Drug Mart or Walmart provider Covid testing in BC. Costco also doesn’t do Covid test in BC. There are not many options provided her in BC that are not costly.

It does sound dangerous, especially given that they had a HUGE outbreak on board QM2 on their Christmas cruise (which did require full vax plus masking). And they're not requiring masks except in the theatre, cinema and medical centre. 

 

For departures from Soton, they are doing at-terminal testing (presumably rapid antigen), but other departures only require proof of a recent test (within 48 hours).

Good information.  That will be interesting for people doing cruises from Vancouver assuming a test is still required to get on a ship.

According to British cruise bloggers I watch daily, UK has dumped all COVID protocols and saw an immediate 48% uptick in cases. I have not seen news reports on this but would be wary of Cunard if true.
