Flipchild32 Posted March 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2022 I am very much a newbie when it comes to cruising with only 1 7-night Alaska cruise with Princess in 2019. I am going on my first RC cruise April 29th. I was looking into the C&A benefits and information and I found that they have matched MLife status points. I have put in a request for that, but I didn't know if like in Las Vegas and some other places they match with status match with other lines. While I don't have a lot of nights at all any help IMO for points and just trying to get the most of out of my stays. I am planning on taking another cruise soon as I had so much fun on the last one but COVID hit... TIA
Another_Critic Posted March 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2022 (edited) Royal only matches with Celebrity. But it's not always a one for one match. Loyalty Match is not recognized for Preview, Classic, Pre-Gold and Gold Tiers. Elite Plus, Zenith, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle cannot be reached via Loyalty Match. Points are only earned for the brand sailed on. https://www.celebritycruises.com/captains-club/exclusive-offers/loyalty-reciprocity-program Edited March 22, 2022 by Another_Critic
smplybcause Posted March 22, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2022 As far as I know the match with mgm is only one way. You can get a match with mgm based on your royal level, but Royal doesn't give you status for your mgm level. The best you get for mgm on royal is if it gives you any casino booking offers. Rare twangster Posted March 22, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2022 MLife is a casino program. Crown and Anchor is a loyalty program. Completely different and no interaction between the two.
sandebeach Posted March 22, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2022 Actually, MGM Mlife will do a status match with your Roya Caribbean Crown and Anchor status, but not with your Royal Caribbean casino status. A few years ago I showed my Set Sail pass from Anthem, which showed my C&A status, at the Club desk at the Borgata in Atlantic City and got a Mlife status upgrade based on my Diamond+ status. SRF Posted March 23, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2022 They used to give you a Chips Dinner for 2 and some casino drink vouchers for being MGM Gold. And a sticker on your SeaPass. 😄 I was MGM Gold for our first cruise and had an envelope in the cabin with the voucher for dinner and a latter of welcome. When I checked in with the casino host for my sticker, she offered me drink coupons, but I had the DBP anyway.

I don't gamble much, but I do have MGM Rewards (formally MLife) to get points and benefits when I stay at their hotels or dining venues or Southwest. There were one or two other perks that seemed of value too.

We stayed at NYNY which is an MLife/MGM Rewards property. We were given Gold Status players card as we are Diamond Plus on Royal. The best benefits for us were the No Resort Fees and the Free Valet Parking (We always rent a car). The No Resort Fees and Free Valet saved us about $70 per night.
