A Helpful Tip When Booking Thermal Spa

I just want fill you in when booking the Thermal Spa

Things have changed

in the old days you would book the couples pass and let’s say it was $249 for the 7 day cruise. You would book the spa then when you got on board they were running specials for $199 per couple for the 7 day cruise.

Then you would have to go down to the desk and get it fixed/adjusted.

Now HAL is trying to increase online reservations and they were offering the spa for $219 online prior to boarding. Once you got on the ship at embarkation day it was $299 for the same thing.

I had already booked for $219 so I was good to go.

Moral to the story is if you wait to book till you get on the ship it will cost you more.

I don’t know how much single day passes cost.

I plan to get a Thermal Spa pass for the first time on my August cruise, and had planned to purchase after boarding because of older advice here on CC.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share this up-to-date info!

I booked for my upcoming cruise, although it's not clear. Is the price for one person, or is that the cost per cabin? Booking on-line would only let me choose one person.

Thanks!!!

Would like to know as well.  I had same experience so went back and did a second booking.  So paid for 2 people, 2 x 219.  Is that correct or do I just need to pay for 1?

Yes, it is.

I wonder if the discounted price might not yet be available during embarkation.  That is when I have booked this amenity.

This discounted price will NOT be available at embarkation. Book online and save yourself $80 for a couple package

Online there’s a single price and a couples price. It was $219 for a couple for the 7 day cruise. Per couple not per cabin with 5 people in it

For my 18 day circle Hawaii cruise, there was only one choice. It is a 14-day thermal spa pass, but it notes good for entire cruise. The cost was $299. I was hoping the email confirmation would spell it out, but it didn't. Clear as mud...

They are no longer doing the couple's pass. I just spoke to them and was told about this. I am very disappointed.

Must be a glitch on the website that the won't let you select more than 1 pass when booking on-line. I guess I'll do what bebe did and make two separate transactions. I agree with Cathy, this is disappointing.

Well this is good information to know but very disappointing. I have been trying to book online for my nine day cruise that leaves in 12 days. My online price says it’s a 14 day package $299.  Yes I did call the person I spoke with said that they were trying to reach out to the spa department find out what information is and if they would send me an email. That was over a week ago and I’ve heard nothing back. So I had to plan on booking at the first day on board getting the price break.

i’m just not sure if I’ll go there at all now though I do love the thermal suite.

Can you just get it for a day…when you are onboard?

Yes, in my experience pre-Covid.  Day passes are limited, however.  The Pool was never crowded.  The Thermal Suite, because of the limited number of thermal beds, yes, they could be full and stayed full because guests overstayed their suggested time.

I was able to book the 7 day couple pass for $219 for our Eurodam Alaska sailing this September by calling Ship Services and paying over the phone.  I had previously planned to book onboard, but decided to book on the phone when I called to book our cabana.  I am super glad I did that as I probably would have passed if the rate was $299.

Its weird - I previously saw the couples option last week online but now only see $149 for one person. Does anyone know about cruise credits? I have $775 US to use up, but it doesn't show up on the Navigator app yet. I am hesitant to book the Thermal package until I see the credits online (it shows on my invoice).

Also does anybody know what all I can use the cruise credits for? Can I use towards crew appreciation and buy liquor (to bring home)? I already have the drink, wifi, excursion, and dinner x 2 package so I don't need to use towards those unless I go over on my excursions.

We will also be on the August cruise with you and I am looking at the spa Relaxation Package.  The description says for "duration of cruise" but title says 14 days for $299 pp.  I asked in email to HAL and got the response that it is for 14 days and that spa onboard would adjust price for the 24 days.

I think I will try calling HAL to see what answer I get.

Cruise credits - your on board credit?  You can use it for anything on board except the casino (assuming it’s from HAL and non refundable).  If it’s from your TA, in most cases you can use it for anything 😉

OBC some from HAL due to COVID cancellations, some from TA. Do you know where or when it shows up on my account on the Navigator App?

If your cruise was through a TA then only the HAL OBC will show.  I’ve only found it on my formal confirmation.  Your TA OBC will be in their email to you.  I don’t think it shows anywhere - at least, I. Have never found it until I get on board and get my preliminary statement.
