Cruise from Boston in October!! Weather ?

Hello, what type of weather should we expect for our upcoming cruise in October from Boston to Miami ? Rough seas ?

Barring the outside chance of a passing hurricane, the weather should be good - the sea water temperature will be close to its warmest of the year. Because predictions are very reliable now, the ship will be able to adjust course to avoid extreme conditions - but there is always a chance of a day or two of fairly rough sailing.

Well....in  Oct of 2019, the high was 80 and the low was 43, so......I'd say anywhere inbetween those would be most likely.

And sea conditions cannot be predicted far in advance and can be anything from calm to rough on any day in any sea.

Personally, I wouldn't do it if warm weather was important to your cruise. The average Boston October temperature is high of 62 and low of 47. It could be better, it could be worse. Add in the wind of the sea, and you're likely on the worse end. It will likely not be lounging in the sun weather. Now, when you get to Miami, it will be plenty warm.

 

Rough seas are a crapshoot.
