It was reported on YouTube by a reliable source that Carnival had a first quarter 2022 occupancy of 70% and had 40 sailings of 100% or higher for the fleet.

Would have loved 70% for my upcoming Mardi Gras but sounds like a full boat is to be expected.

It's hard to say - in my state this is spring break week (and there are a ton of kids on this ship). Maybe it won't be so bad after this (...until summer break). It's strange, at times the ship doesn't seem that crowded and other times the lines are crazy long (mostly for pizza) and it's hard to find a free table on Lido or a slot machine to play.

My best find so far, was to eat breakfast at the buffet in Pig & Anchor instead of Lido, the crowd is 1/4 the size.  Way more pleasant.

Today we are in Costa Maya.  I worked more on the blog so day one should be there soon. Lots of food and drink photos

last night was dinner at Rudi’s.  The good was good but service was lacking.
it seems like lots of people stayed in the ship today.  It is still pretty crowded even the Havana area.  I’m not sure I’m a big ship person.  It’s been sometime since I’ve been on one plus the lower capacity on last NCL spoiled me.

Last night was the Chef’s Table and it did not disappoint.  I will write that review up for sure today so I do not forget but be prepared for a glowing review.   Truly outstanding.
I will also review M Theory and late night comedy in the theater.
Today, we are in Roatan.  I’m not sure the plan yet.  I might get off to see this port area since I believe it’s different than where I have docked previously.  Then again, with so much to do on board, it might not happen for me.  I could be perfectly content here as well.
Time to get a walk in and some coffee which has been very good and I haven’t even gotten a specialty one!!  I might have to get a Cuban one though to try.

Just had amazing breakfast in main dining before heading out to explore.   I had one of the best masala dosa.  Delicious!!  I’ve never seen that offered on any cruise.
I’ve read here about people being snobby towards Carnival and I’ve read those comments on other boards.  If they are a mainstream cruiser they really need to get over themselves.  I’m impressed by Carnival’s offerings.  Somethings are way better than NCL by far.  Let the haters hate and ignore those comments Carnival fans!!

Very hot in Roatan.  Walked to beach and around stores.  If I hit this port again, I’d rent a cabana.  Water seems very nice.   So if I take photo through here and hold horizontally it appears to work…

My screenshots didn’t post sideways…yay.  If not I was gonna say I’ll go to the insta for my blog which usually posts quicker.  I might go put up some Chef Table food porn.

These are new drink menus and prices are definitely a little higher.  Looks like most beer is .50 - .75 higher and frozen drinks are $1.00 more.  No Domaine Chandon on the menu at all (MG was completely out of Sweet Star on our cruise last month) and Domaine Ste Michelle Rose is $1.50 more than it was.  I guess it's to be expected, everything in the "real" world is going up too.

You mentioned internet was kinda slow on Mardi Gras, wondered which plan you purchased?  Trying to decide about pre-purchasing and which plan would be best. Also can you still just purchase one plan and share in a cabin?  (Not at the same time). Thanks and enjoying your blog and post.

Can you comment about the self-serve soda machines?

Someone in the sailing before you said they only worked 1 of the 7 days they were onboard. Have you seen these machines being used much?

I think the share in a cabin might work if you use it as a hotspot and then tag team with the second device.
