We ordered a 12 pack of water last week on the Horizon and did exactly as you stated and the water was nice and cold.

I’m glad it worked for you. 😊

Sure, food poisoning is fun onboard

Food poisoning from juice and milk? Mankind lived for thousands of years without refrigeration and still enjoyed milk and juice. A functioning refrigerator will do just fine.

We load up on the little milks at breakfast and put them in our fridge in our room.

THIS...

We have always brought back some for the fridge for DS.  Even now DS (teen) grabs a couple for the cabin fridge knowing that he will also grab some cookies at some point for a before bed snack at the ready!

PS...if you keep the ice bucket full of ice you can also put the milk on ice if you want it colder.  We bring a Yeti collapsible cooler in our luggage that we get filled with ice each AM and keeps it frozen all day.
