Rare 1025cruise Posted May 20, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2022 Of course they do. They are getting blamed for something out of their control.
JFontaine Posted May 21, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2022 The extra hassle of uploading the test could easily be eliminated if the cruise line requires the same test/same timing. In my case Celebrity is checking for a negative test taken not earlier than 2 days prior to embarkation, why does Bermuda need to review the same results.

molly361 Posted May 21, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2022 Do you have to get a second test if Bermuda is not your first stop and you are NOT getting off the ship?

We're on the NCL Joy on 12 June and have been following a number of threads which discuss the Bermuda requirement. It's my understanding that even if Bermuda is not the first stop after embarkation (our first stop is Norfolk, for example), if you do NOT get off the ship, you are not required to be re-tested, though NCL apparently test for free, on board prior to arriving in Bermuda, anyone who did get off the ship. Presumably if you test positive on this second test you are immediately quarantined, your trip is ruined and you definitely aren't getting off in Bermuda. Note that the Bermuda web site is clear that EVERYONE has to be tested and makes no mention of this special arrangement, but a number of folks have confirmed that this is the case.
Rare 1025cruise Posted May 21, 2022 #7 Share Posted May 21, 2022 Just note that the TA is required for anyone entering Bermuda by any means. It's not just limited to cruise passengers. Bermuda residents re-entering Bermuda via plane need to fill this out as well.

Too bad I was just on hold for 1 1/2 hours yesterday after uploading my test for Sunday lol. Oh well at least for the future it is a bit easier. I have to believe Bermuda gov't officials know that too. Best case, it goes away. More realistic face-saving for Bermuda gov't is morphing it to a $40/pp (or some $ amount) additional port fee that cruise passengers have no active role in uploading, applying for, or anything...except have to have it buried in the cruise price.
