lanabanana78 Posted May 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2022 It has sadly been a very long time since I've been on a cruise and the last time we took one my kids were too little to enjoy kids activities. I'm very excited that at 8 and 10 they'll be able to do the kids club! But what changes can I expect since 2014? I know the chocolate melting cake hasn't changed!!! 😉
tallnthensome Posted May 21, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2022 You're asking a pretty broad question since Covid ....... a lot has changed. I would ask specifics hence the lack of responses on this already widely discussed topic.
superrupe Posted May 21, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2022 I haven’t cruised in a while so I’m following the follow in-depth reviews: I find recent reviews show the current happenings.
cruisingguy007 Posted May 21, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 21, 2022 Limited hours on lots of things and less options. Be sure you know what you're buying.
May1cruiser Posted May 21, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2022 Thinking back to 2015-our restart to cruising- to today... A lot has changed, but a lot is the same. Most of the changes are cost savings. Smaller food portions, no tablecloths, once a day room service, etc. The same- crew try to give their best. simple answer- Calibrate your expectations and assume you will have a great time. If you do, you will have a great time.

I know the chocolate melting cake hasn't changed!!! 😉 I find the chocolate melting cake changes from cruise to cruise and night to night. Sometimes too sloppy, other times not sloppy enough. Rare is it "just perfect" by my standards! Our last cruise it was really sloppy, and by that I mean 99% of the contents were basically liquid. Second night the same. Stopped ordering it after that! ZoeyVictoria Posted May 22, 2022 #7 Share Posted May 22, 2022 The chocolate melting cake is still available, but you will be eating it at a table without tablecloths. Fine with me, but a disappointment to some others. There are no tablecloths on the table where I serve the food I cook, either, so I am still way ahead. 2PinaColadas Posted May 22, 2022 #8 Share Posted May 22, 2022 How have the embarkation and debarkation changed? Hopefully both have gotten better since 2017-- our last cruise.
