tpeacockiii Posted May 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2022 We changed our cruise cabin after final payment, and then went to check in. The stateroom on the luggage tags is the OLD cabin, but the boarding pass has the NEW cabin. what should we do to make sure our luggage gets to us smoothly? I’ve contacted the TA, but wondered if this was common or not?
jelayne Posted May 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2022 Did you check the luggage tag in the edocs? If that isn’t correct and the system haven’t updated them porters at the pier can put tags on your luggage with tge correct cabin number.

I was hopeful that it could be sorted out when we board and it sounds like that’s a reasonable expectation. I guess show up without luggage tags then? jelayne Posted May 22, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2022 Yes, unless the edocs update. Porters are used to people needing luggage tags.
Arizona Wildcat Posted May 22, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 22, 2022 Stressing about luggage tags? Please don't. Put a piece of tape on each bag with your cabin number and hand them to the porter at the pier. Lots easier and the taped number helps if the tag is torn off in handling.
jwlane Posted May 22, 2022 #6 Share Posted May 22, 2022 Don't worry about it. They'll write new tags at the pier. Takes seconds.
Rare NutsAboutGolf Posted May 22, 2022 #7 Share Posted May 22, 2022 Everyone is correct. 1) Show up to the pier 2) Hand your tagless bags to the Porters 3) They'll attach blank tags and write on any stateroom # you tell them
tpeacockiii Posted May 22, 2022 Author #8 Share Posted May 22, 2022 I obviously thought the tag was something more "official" rather than a fancy way of associating a number to your bag!

Regardless - I got a Comped upgrade the night before a cruise and the ship was already closed I just Scratched out the number and wrote the new one on it. The agent said no problem and my bag arrived like normal. The baggage handlers also have blank tags and will put your cabin number on one.
