Real negative Wall Street outlook on the cruise line industry today

I am no longer booking ahead as I have in the past.  In fact, I cancelled a 2023 HAL cruise as I didn't feel comfortable with them having my $3500 deposit.  For now, only free casino cruises(HAL) or after final payment.

Until the testing requirement to fly into the US ends, things are going to remain dismal IMHO. Even Fauci in a recent interview, could site no reason as to why it should continue! No other western country requires this test. It is absolutely discouraging travel and thus cruising.

This is a great article written a few months ago about the reasoning behind Canada lifting the test required to fly into Canada. We need this to happen in the US as well.

I canceled this year's European trip because of the test-to-fly-home requirement, especially rigid from Italy, but am still willing to drive to short cruises out of Florida.  Would have loved to book the Greek islands Cruise with the CEO cruise except for the pesky return test thing.  Hoping it's gone in time for next year's TA.....and that there will BE a next year for the cruise lines.

News flash:  Wall Street is pretty much negative on everything these days.

Except for the defense industry which is thriving right now.....

That's not true. Certainly not everything

"They"  are only negative on what is overvalued in their opinion and quite enthusiastic about what they find undervalued.

As has been case always - quite  consistently.

All though coming from totally opposite spectrum, agree with you

Personally, I am more concerned about having to quarrantine in non English speaking foreign country than fighting off actual covid.
