Cruising to Alaska: Issues with fogging?

Recommended Posts

If anything, it would be the other way around. If you come in from the cool outside air to the warm somewhat humid interior, you might get some minor fogging. Also, Alaska in June is fairly temperate. Sometimes. We have been there when it was 79° in August and once in late June when it was 30° up by Skagway in White Pass. All the other times, we had pretty good weather in the mid 50s to low 70s.

Rain gear is more important to consider.

On small excursion boats with outdoor and indoor seating, you may find that indoors is worthless due to fogging on rainy days.  I remember a time coming into Icy Strait after being out on an excursion.  Whales were bubble net feeding just off the shore, and people on land were getting a real treat.  I was on the inside the boat and couldn't see what was happening.
