Back to HAL?

Just returned from the Grand Princess Alaska.  We are totally fed up with the Princess Medallion app.  So many problems and changes to the system.

 

Haven't sailed with HAL for a few years and my question is:  do they have a similar program or is it still just the card for cabin entry and purchases?

Haven't sailed Princess since they started the medallion.   It looks neat.   What was the issue?  Did it not work all the time?

My good friend just got off the Majestic Princess and she said the Medallion opened their cabin door correctly but didn't work even once for room service or other drink ordering on the ship. It still needs lots of work.

I am finishing 14 days on the Noordam. The room key is in the mail box for your room when you get on the ship. This key card is used for everything, even for ship booked shore excursions. No longer do you need tour tickets. You meet the tour operator, they scan your card and you proceed on your tour.

It makes it very easy a nd less paper to deal with. Very easy.
