Sunshine3601 Posted June 2, 2022 #5 Share Posted June 2, 2022 Your guess is as good as mine. As storm trajectories change they may wait until late Friday or early morning Saturday. In my opinion Bermuda will be just fine but may be a bumpy ride.
MichaelCMTX Posted June 2, 2022 #6 Share Posted June 2, 2022 Twas a "lively" journey in early May on the reposition once we rounded Florida.
Mdta Posted June 3, 2022 #7 Share Posted June 3, 2022 I’m on this cruise too. Not upset about going north but my question is if we don’t go to Bermuda do we get our $40 back for the travel authorization form? It won’t make or break me but just curious.
Sunshine3601 Posted June 3, 2022 #8 Share Posted June 3, 2022 Just watched James van fleet Twitter videos sounds like a very good chance this sailing will go north to Canada instead of Bermuda so pack accordingly. Bermuda says fee is non refundable, maybe dispute with credit card company or see if you can move it to another Bermuda cruise??? @molly361. Did you have any luck in getting your Bermuda TA transferred or refunded?

Bermuda is not expecting much impact from the storm but it would be a very bumpy rainy cruise so best for everyone's safety and enjoyment to reroute to Canada. Not sure but do passengers have to register for ArriveCan? Stay tuned for announcement from Royal later today.

I emailed them and got no response - will probably try the cc dispute route All they can do is deny it

Yes, though no one at the Halifax terminal asked to see the qr code we were told was needed to get off the ship.

mets07 Posted June 3, 2022 #13 Share Posted June 3, 2022 ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS Dear Guest, We’ve been closely monitoring the developing weather with our Chief Meteorologist, James van Fleet, for your Adventure of the Seas sailing that departs tomorrow, June 4th, 2022. Regretfully, the inclement weather will not allow us to maintain a safe and comfortable journey to Bermuda. Instead, we’ll make our way to Canada! We did everything possible to maintain our original itinerary and while not the destination planned, we know you’ll still have a great time with us. Below is our new itinerary. DATE PORT Arrival Departure 4-Jun-22 Cape Liberty, New Jersey 3:00 PM 5-Jun-22 At Sea 6-Jun-22 Halifax, Nova Scotia 8:30 AM 5:00 PM 7-Jun-22 Saint John, New Brunswick 10:00 AM 6:00 PM 8-Jun-22 At Sea 9-Jun-22 Cape Liberty, New Jersey 7:00 AM We ask that you please pack some light sweaters and clothing for cooler temperatures – the weather for Canada is predicted to be around a crisp 60 degrees Fahrenheit during the day. In Halifax, explore Peggy’s Cove and the Titanic, featuring wonderful vistas along Lighthouse Road. Or discover the towering Citadel, a fortress used as a naval station during the reign of the British Empire. Halifax offers a perfect mix of historic charm, ocean views, and delicious food! Then in Saint John, learn all about its industrial development and maritime history at the New Brunswick Museum. Or, view the world-famous Reversing Rapids, where the Saint John River meets the Bay of Fundy. Both ports offer delicious cuisine, and if seafood is your thing - the lobster rolls are amazing! We are sure you’ll have a great time at these two new Canadian ports! And now some housekeeping... Any Royal Caribbean excursions purchased for Bermuda will be refunded as an onboard credit, that you can use to purchase new excursions or anything onboard. Any unused balance will go back to the card associated with your onboard account. Now that we are going to Canada instead, all guests – including Canadians – will need to complete the mandatory ArriveCAN travel information form prior to arriving at the cruise terminal. Guests can complete the form for free at the ArriveCAN website here or via their app available in the AppStore or on Google Play. This form must be completed before boarding, and we highly recommend completing this at home since Wi-Fi connection in the terminal may not always be reliable. Once complete, print or show the QR code provided at boarding. We look forward to welcoming you onboard, but know that this is not the vacation you planned. If you wish to reschedule or change your sailing, we’re happy to provide you with a Future Cruise Credit. Your Future Cruise credit will be based on any funds paid on your booking. If you already used any Future Cruise Credits, your original certificates will be reinstated. Your taxes, fees, and pre-paid amenities, like shore excursions, beverage packages, etc. – except for insurance will be refunded to your original form of payment. If a little rain and a new journey isn't going to stop you from taking your well-deserved time off, then see you at the pier! If you decide to not join us, please contact your Travel Advisor, call us at 1 (866) 562-7625, or contact your local office by June 4, 2022. We hope to see you onboard tomorrow! Sincerely, Aurora Yera-Rodriguez AVP of Guest Experience Royal Caribbean International
