The article does mention 'supply chain issues.'  And Captain Carl said that the condition of this ship was even worse than they had expected based on their already-poor experience with the previous ex-Princess acquisition.  So maybe the takeaway is that it is a miracle that Onward is actually seaworthy after this dry dock; expecting perfection would have required 'Miracle Max,' not a shipyard under time pressure.*

I hope they learned their lesson from Pursuit with the surprises they found there and built contingency in the price finally paid.

I have just disembarked the Onwatd today and having cruised on the other Azamara, the Onwatd still needs some work. The public toilets are not refurbished and are a disgrace. The deck area looks dirty due to the flooring and the balcony furniture is a joke. I hope that Azamara work on this shop to get it up to par with others. I certainly would not return  until it is completed. The staff are excellent and food was also excellent.

I hope they get it sorted by next January , my friends are joining us for their first cruise after I “sold” Azamara to them .
