  1. Just wear what you would when you go out to a restaurant, my husband wears jeans most nights with a fashionable shirt and good quality on trend shoes , I’ve seen people with “ smart “ clothes who can look like a pile of **** , I wear , dresses, coloured trousers, white jeans , nice tops . it’s sometimes not what you where but how you wear it.
  2. Well I must be very privileged, 😆 I received 2 emails about this underwhelming subject. I like cruising* with Azamara , the staff make it really , but tbh I think it’s about time they have a rethink on getting some replacement ships , they are extremely tired and with old fashioned dark wood decor and despite refurbishing over recent years the works carried out in most of the cabins is poor, those bathrooms absolutely need to go, and a lot of things in and around the ship are tatty and well past their sell by date. My husband and I are on Pursuit in Sept around Croatia and I’m sure it will be fine, but smarter and more contemporary surroundings would be nicer. Not sure if we will be booking with them again , shame really.
  3. Hi , never been on Seaborn can’t comment on them, Oceania, yes the food and cabins are better than Azamara but that’s it’s , Azamara the ships are older the cabins are not flash but it is more cosy and friendly , the food is pretty good . I’m in my 60’s but still have plenty of life in me 🤣 I find Oceania very very boring especially in the evenings, fellow cruisers on Azamara seem to mix better no matter what your age.
  4. Heard from my T/A yesterday that Windstar have moved me to Feb 25 , the cruise they’ve moved me to is 2 nights less and it’s Oman to Dubai, not very happy , there are definitely no Dubai to Dubai sailings and no 10 nights either, so I’m probably going to my money back, am very disappointed , I think Windstar jumped the gun far to quickly on these cancellations , there is no British Government advise not to travel to the majority of the Middle East .
  5. Have just read on the internet that new itineraries have been announced, the Legend will be in the Med for the winter same old ports except in the not so warm temps, not for me and my husband we were after warmer climates .

All you have to do is ring room service or if you want a cup of tea in the morning when you wake up just fill in the breakfast sheet and put on your door the night before and hey presto the tea fairy turns up at the chosen time
  7. I’ve just spoken to my T/A she has only just received an initial email from Windstar of the cancellation of my Middle East cruise departing and returning Dubai on 11 Feb 24, she does not have the full details as of yet but she seemed to think we could be move to 2025 or transfer to another sailing up to Autumn 2024. The same for us in the U.K. flying to and from Oman is about half as more the cost again than flights to Dubai. Will just wait to see what she comes back with , here in the U.K. we have different consumer laws so it’s watch this space
  8. Thanks so much for this posting ,very informative .My husband and I are on the Legend this coming Feb around the Middle East, this post is certainly giving us an insight into this line .Have been on many cruises over the years, but never Windstar, so looking forward to it. Now go and enjoy your holiday to the full.
  9. Just returned from the Journey , there was a shuttle in Valencia , every 30 mins dropped you off 2 min walk over the bridge to the old town
  10. Hi, my husband and I have just returned home from this cruise, the ship is like all Azamara vessels , old , with that dreaded bathroom ,but it was clean and well maintained for it’s age, We enjoyed ourselves immensely, the food was much better than we had on Onward in January , the brunch, the BBQ were both great and the White night was one of the best we’ve experienced , the Azamazing eve was pretty good, the staff were as usual great, the itinerary was decent. I do not consider Azamara luxury but it represents excellent value for money , and for us it has a really good atmosphere which in my experience other lines just can’t meet, and at the end of the day it’s what you and the crew make it !!
  11. Believe it or not my bark is worse than my bite 🤣 honest , I’m a nice person really , but I’m guilty of speaking my mind , especially when it’s a subject I’m passionate about .
  12. Champagne only comes from Champagne, loopholes make no difference, a bIt like rewriting history ,as often is done within the film industry. Money I’m afraid does NOT buy class
  13. Champagne ONLY comes from the Champagne region it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with EU law, it relates back to a treaty in 1891, and the EU wasn’t around then. Cava is made in the same way as Champagne but it is Cava not Champagne , although the Spanish have always claimed it was them that created the method of producing sparkling wine,
  14. The only reason we upgrade is the champagne for me and the better spirits for my husband , and we both like the Whispering Angel, plus there’s nothing to spend our OBC on , the stuff in the shops is overpriced , the handbags etc..are not this seasons.
  15. Yes I know the showers are minute and I hate shower curtains had shower doors in my bathrooms for over 35 years now, but I’m not keen on going to the spa to shower I’d rather have a really quick shower and not dwell on it to much. It certainly won’t ruin my Azamara experience
