Why Doesn't Website Show Transfers

Why do transfers have to be booked through TA and why does website not list what transfers are available? Even if we have to contact TA, it would be nice to know what is available and the cost.

I've mostly seen transfers available to book in Personalizer after I book a cruise. Oddly, it's "mostly" rather than "always."

Live Chat said to go to Travel in Personalizer but would need to be booked by TA. However, Personalizer just says to contact TA, does not show what is available. First and probably last time I use a Big Box TA, it is hours long wait on phone to speak to them. Often says, 'Too busy, try later'.

I suppose that's the difference - you used a TA, while I book directly. Hope you get things sorted out okay.

Go to princess website. Do a mock booking. It will give you a choice for transfers, PVP etc. do not pay.

this way you can price it

if you use a travel agent you have them book transfers.

Thanks, I was curious to see if Princess had a transfer from Quebec port to Montreal airport, much better flights from Montreal. Live Chat told me there were no such transfers. BTW I do see train and bus options for Quebec to Montreal. Might be nicer than a 5 1/2 wait at Newark 🙂

It just might be nicer! I know I'd rather spend time on a train than hanging out at the airport. 😃

Are you inquiring about the transfers from Seattle to Vancouver? If so, the cost is $158, round trip. You will need to book through your TA. There’s no way to do it yourself. I had the Future Cruise Consultant on the Ruby do it for me.

Saw you updated post. Guessing you will have to call.

Did that and had to go all the way to passenger information etc. Then it showed me New York and Quebec transfers with cost, thanks.

We always see the transfers in the travel summary of the personalizer   Just to note we book through our PVP or the Princess casino department

Got it, just odd that they do not show what is available if booked with TA. I think the same applies when you want to know Princess Hotel options, you need to ask TA. I understand that PCL wants any extras to be booked by TA, but it would be logical to show details on website.

That’s good you were able to do that. I was thinking you were already booked on the cruise.

We are indeed already booked, as it happens, I got my answer from Live Chat.

They let you book your own flights thru EZAir but not transfers.  The only reason I can think of is the TA gets a commission on the transfers but not EZAir.  Still very strange.

Good thought, TA might discount a transfer, that makes sense.
