ArriveCAN Scam - BEWARE!

Make sure the website and app you use for ArriveCAN is legitimate.Ā  My friends got scammed out of $90 per person -- $270 for a family of three.

Ā

"Be cautious of third party, fraudulent webpages and apps that may be posing as ArriveCAN and asking you for payment. If you encounter a suspicious webpage or app that appears to be posing as ArriveCAN, please file a report with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre immediately. ArriveCAN is free and secure and is the official Government of Canada platform to provide your information when entering Canada."

Thanks for the warning.

Wow thanks for the heads up!Ā  Does anyone know if you have to download that app if you're not planning on getting off the ship in Canada?

Yes, everyone needs to register with ArriveCan.

Assuming you are on a typical closed loop cruise leaving from Seattle or San Francisco, not only download it, but it must be completed and submitted 72 hours of either getting on a ship that will be stopping in CanadaĀ  (closed loop cruise from Seattle or San Francisco).Ā  You will receive a QR code once your registration is submitted.Ā  A single ArriveCan registration can be for up to 8 passengers.Ā  But you will need to scan or manually enter passports numbers, stateroom numbers and a host of other information.
