xray0111 Posted June 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2022 Has anyone had any problems with a connecting balcony stateroom on the Oddessey We booked thru a TA and gave her a general idea where (forward, near elevator, deck). Later I found it to be a connecting room. I'm not concerned just hate surprises. There will only be two of us and we are easily adaptable.

Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted June 18, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2022 (edited) Balcony door only, or also stateroom connecting doors? Edited June 18, 2022 by Ferry_Watcher
Ashland Posted June 18, 2022 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2022 It can be an issue...Not something I would book at all unless we were traveling with family in that connecting cabin.
galfromkazoo Posted June 18, 2022 #5 Share Posted June 18, 2022 I have been in many connecting staterooms and never had any noise issues. On our last cruise on the Wonder, I thought the connecting stateroom was empty until one night they were on their balcony at the same time we were. time4u2go Posted June 18, 2022 #6 Share Posted June 18, 2022 Change it if you can. Too much potential for noise.
packedandready Posted June 18, 2022 #7 Share Posted June 18, 2022 Never on odyssey but have had a few connecting cabins. No problem with any of them. In fact, our last cruise was connecting and I thought the cabin was empty. Evening 5 of a 7 night cruise I saw a couple come out.
BillHana Posted June 19, 2022 #8 Share Posted June 19, 2022 Years ago I accidentally booked a connecting room on Explorer in an Ocean View stateroom. When we got to the room we found the loveseat was removed and a single chair was there. This left the connecting door unblocked which resulted in empty wall space. We could not both sit in a chair in the room. Never again will I book a connecting room.
