Private Fares

Why is milk on sale at the grocery store this week, but isn't next week?  LIkely HAL's yield management department has determined they don't need to incentivize those winter bookings yet?  Why drop one's pants on price needlessly?   Scott.

Why won't private (past guest) fares show up on Caribbean itineraries on the Holland America web site?  I know they are available and they are shown for Alaska sailings.

I have some private sale pricing for the Caribbean this year.  Not planning on taking advantage as I’m booked at a really good rate and perks.

Did you log in with your Mariner number?

There doesn’t appear to be a lot of rhyme nor reason to the “special pricing”. My daughter and I are both 3 star Mariners and the last cruise we booked together, her pricing was cheaper than mine 🤷‍♀️  Sometimes they are the same price, either “special” or with no Mariner discount at all.

I logged in with my mariner number but there was no private fare available.  So, I called and after waiting on hold for an hour and being told it was not available, I was transferred to a pricing specialist who said that there was a private fare available for the Caribbean and booked it.  But, why doesn't it show up on the web site?

I’m sure it’s because they want to push people into the celebration “sale” with non refundable deposits.
