Must Pre-pay Crew Appreciation (Tips) Included on Booking Invoice?

Read several times today Princess is including Crew Appreciation pre-payment as a default payment on the cruise invoice;  is there a way to opt out of this pre-payment?

 

We ALWAYS utilize our OBC for this charge. 

 

Wonder if this is why the cruises are still 'unavailable' on the website for a second day.

Not at all. You can adjust the gratuity at guest services so this doesn't even make sense for those of us who do not wish to prepay their exorbitant suggestion. It is included if you pick one of the drinks package.
