We are going late June so hopefully the ice you encountered will be gone in Greenland.  We booked when we received the first promotion letter for FV23.  Decided it was good enough not to wait until we are on Octantis in January.

I assume the actual savings is a mystery until you speak to a Viking agent.  Is the savings from reduced cabin rates and free air and nothing else?

FV23 letter indicated had to have a booked cruise then $1000 per room,

$200 past guest for 15 day new cruise. 
$500 , $200 less than 15 days 

This was combined with existing offer on

new cruise. Need to talk with Viking.

FV23 is applicable to ALL cruises' "published" prices, at least per the letter.  (Your lawyer's mileage may vary!)

 

It's a $500 per cabin discount for cruises 14 days or less, $1000 for longer cruises.  The Past Guest Discounts also apply as they would normally.  (Either $100 or $200 pp, depending on how long since your last cruise.)

 

There's also some highly misunderstandable text about final payment dates, which some on this thread have found to mean that you can get a later final payment date.  (May not have to do with this "sale"...)

France hosts the Olympics next summer. Viking has modified some of the river voyages to accommodate.

Yes, but all the June sailings were removed due to the Olympics so there are fewer total sailings available next year. That  translates into demand potentially exceeding supply and no need to discount.

Was doing test booking on "INTO THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE" and "CANADA & GREENLAND EXPLORER".  Invalid on both of them.

 

EDIT:  I see that it's automatically put in for almost all the other itineraries...  I just happened to click on the two that the code don't work (lol)
