swingphi Posted July 3, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2022 We're leaving on a cruise in15 days, is it cheaper to book before we're on the ship? Can I book now and pay now and change the date once I know the menu for the week. It has been awhile since we've cruised and I don't want to miss lobster night. We appreciate any advice you can give. Sunshine3601 Posted July 3, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2022 Prices are almost always cheaper to buy on cruise planner vs onboard. This past year when ships were sailing with less than 50% passenger capacity and we got some fabulous deals onboard but haven't heard of any recently. If going on 7 night cruise Lobster night will be 2nd formal night, night 6. If you have the royal app on your phone you can view menus for mdr and other restaurants. Any idea which night is formal night on a 5 night cruise?

Look at the RCI app and click on the blue Hint and Tips section toward the bottom. The MDR menu in the app may also have a clue.

swingphi Posted July 3, 2022 Author #6 Share Posted July 3, 2022 Thanks so much for the very informative replies. I checked the app and found the menu for my sailing. I guess since it is 7 days 6 nights there's no lobster night.😂😂😂 I am truly happy to just sail away again, next time I'll do the usual 7 night cruise.
