Reykjavik: cheap way to get from Pier to hotel near Parliament (3miles)?

I will be in Reykjavik in Aug on Celebrity and will be staying a few days.

it's only 3 miles!

 

Any cheaper options?

I don't think a taxi would even be that expensive! They charge by the mile....how much could 3 miles possibly cost?

Actually, I think the charge is based on kilometres. 😉

In most of Europe (British isles might be the exception), you rarely encounter anything measured in miles.
