phillipahain Posted July 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2022 Spent light years wanting to do all the islands on the original itinery and it was to be our last Now what do we get today a take it or put up with it NZ and Australia instead Aware that cruise lines have their problems but to change 50 % of a 69 day cruise out of all recognution and expect one to put up and shut up is simply not on Passengers also have their problems thanks to being unable to cruise for 2 years and at 80 Travel Insurance is a nightmare so rolling over to another cruise Just does not work ..........apparently our TA has been inundated with calls today all equally upset and annoyed Seabourne need to think again
lincslady Posted July 13, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2022 It is a shame that another thread on this topic has been started -perhaps they could be merged? It appears to be a subject well worth airing; I have looked up the itinerary for the 38 day cruise, and it was idyllic, if lovely Pacific islands is your dream.
phillipahain Posted July 13, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted July 13, 2022 Never mind 32 days ...this was 69 days and we cant roll it to something else as once your 80 you cant get travel insurance for more than 31 days plus 2023 already full from rolled over pandemic trips Paid £400 for trip extention cover too
Covepointcruiser Posted July 13, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 13, 2022 COVID has inconvenienced most of us especially with cruises and itinerary changes. Ports are being very difficult with COVID restrictions so most lines (maybe all) are deleting those ports from their schedules. If you are very dissatisfied cancel the cruise. Most of us have made sure all our hotel stays and flights dependent on cruising are all able to be cancelled. A positive COVID test would also cancel or ruin your cruise. Unfortunately it is the times we are living in and none of us are getting any younger.

As other have posted in the other thread, that means 50% loss of fare paid. Would you just give up tens of thousands of dollars without a peep? sfvoyage Posted July 14, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 14, 2022 (edited) Is it still true that for UK-booking (denominated in GPB), guests can cancel close to sail date with only a loss of the initial 10% deposit, which can also be applied towards a new booking, provided the new booking is made at the same time as the cancellation? What about EUR- and AUD-denominated bookings - those have yet different cancellation & deposit rules, I believe.
