I was invading someone else's live thread so figured start my own.  If you have questions, ask away!  Understand I'm in an Aquaclass and do not plan on visiting the MDR except maybe for lunch.

Overall, I have experienced very few negatives, even with Premium/Stream wifi, the speed and it dropping the connection would be my chief complaint.  Only other negative I have is Blu service hasn't been especially fast but  have had slower in the past on other ships.

Embarkation went smoothly and there wasn't a wait yet I did arrive at 2pm.  Didn't bring any luggage tags, porter pulled one a blank one out of his pocket, wrote the stateroom number on it and the luggage made it to the room.  We did have a slightly delayed embarkation, was stated it was a navigation issue.

I was pleasantly surprised the ship seems to be in far better shape than I thought, while some things are outdated, mostly everything is clean and doesn't have any noticeable wear and tear.

The AC is on and works great both in public spaces and in the stateroom despite it being very hot and humid so far.  The crew is very hard working and is doing a great job.

Any questions, ask away!

Glad to hear everything seems pretty good...as for obc  what do you mean by " Room charge at the casino and withdrawing it is the best way to spend it"

tx

It depends on the ship, some require you to perform a room charge at the cashier and others at the machine, either way the crew will be helpful.  For example if you're nearing the end of your cruise, have $500 OBC that you don't think you'll spend, you'd go to the casino and do a $500 room charge either at the machine or the cashier.  You can do a few spins or immediately cashout and bring the ticket to the cashier.

@cruisestitch Would you be able to check out if there are any Peloton bikes in the fitness center? I know the Millennium/Summit had them installed during their refits pre-pandemic, but I'm not sure they've made it onto the non-refit Infinity. (Also not sure how functional they'd be at streaming with the sluggish internet, but that's another matter entirely).

Had a dozen non-Peloton spin bikes, here’s a pic

I so appreciate your thread.   We will be taking our first celebrity cruise on her in October.  A couple of questions.  We are in an inside stateroom on deck 9 if that matters to the answers.

1.  How large is the TV in the staterooms?

2.  Are there on demand TV selection such as TV shows and movies?

We are long time Princess cruisers, and all of their ships have wall mounted larger TV's and lots of on demand TV shows and movies to watch.

We typically aren't much for the onboard entertainment, although will look at it for Celebrity, but usually migrate back to our room and watch stuff on the TV.

And as you mentioned, if I wanted to stream say Netflix or similar, would that work with the higher wifi option?  I have whatever comes with the bundle (drinks, wifi, gratuities), but have read that you have to upgrade the wifi to stream anything.

whats the entertainment like in general?

I have everything loaded onto my app already for our August sailing. We are 4 weeks out and it loaded this past weekend I believe.

If you have specific questions I can answer, but there is a ton of stuff going on every day.

Glad to see this. Been reading so many poor reviews about Infinity since she started sailing. We are Aquaclass in a few weeks.
Have you gotten to listen to any of the musicians yet?

Yes, so far the musicians have been great; with X there’s always variety including oldies

Hi,

I am booked on the Celebrity Infinity in an AquaClass stateroom for early September. Have you enjoyed dining in Blu? Are tables generally available or do you need to wait for a table? Do you generally have dinner at the same time each evening? Do you have the same server each night? Have you tried breakfast in Blu? Any advice on Blu is appreciated.

Thanks,

Chuck

1) Stateroom TV size, as you can imagine I don't have a tape measure handy, guessing about 30"

2) TV on demand, not that I can find, pressing menu or function on the remote doesn't do anything; Equinox had on demand

3) wifi, yes, you'll need to upgrade to stream/premium to watch streaming services like netflix but can do so mid cruise and you only pay for the days remaining on the sailing.  To do so you have to ask for a credit from the internet dept.  On this sailing, I upgraded on my phone (it's an option) but it charged me the full 7 night amount, went to the internet manager who credited me two days.

1) Have you enjoyed dining in Blu?  Yes, it is an elevated experience over the MDR

2) Are tables generally available or do you need to wait for a table?  Yes, haven't had to wait for a table, yet

3) Do you generally have dinner at the same time each evening?  No, in fact no reservations are accepted outside of large groups, perhaps there are other exceptions

4) Do you have the same server each night?  Haven't yet, also not requesting the same person, everyone has been great yet don't have problem with getting different servers

5) Have you tried breakfast in Blu?  Haven't yet in this sailing but I did last month on the Equinox, it was a great experience for those who have extra time.  On this sailing, overslept on the one sea day and had early tours on the port days

How many guests on board?  Any social distancing or mask wearing?  Any Covid announcements?

How many guests on board?  Asked the person who scans your seapass when we got off the ship, 1,472 which is 68% passenger capacity

Any social distancing or mask wearing?  X doesn't require them for those who are vaxed but a small minority of passengers do wear them and practice social distancing; X hasn't ever really "encouraged" social distancing

Any Covid announcements?  Never a good idea to assume but I assume there's Covid on every ship, with that being said, missed every announcement so cannot report the confirmed number of cases, if any

Thanks for posting.  I am sailing in September on in Aqua Class on Deck 9 so I am glad to hear that you feel the ship is in pretty good shape.  One question:  are you able to order off the main dining room menu if you are dining in Blu?  Thanks again for providing any information you can.

Love the 68 percent.  Hope it stays that way thru August.  The terrible reviews may work keeping the numbers low.

Really been liking an OV breakfast sitting outside; especially if you want a quicker meal compared to Blu/MDR

A unique seating location inside the buffet is at the overhang/“humps”, they have portholes on the floor.  Pic doesn’t do it justice, while it’s not crystal clear due to some scuffs, it looks a lot clearer in real life

One more thing I'll share is about the MDR kids menu filet mignon.  At Blu, asked to could order off the MDR kids, told "no problem", I asked for two kids filets since each is 4oz, waiter said let me double check, later came back and said it was kids only.  No problem, figured I'd try ordering again outside of Blu.  Later, within MDR dinner hours, called room service requesting one filet from the kids MDR and was told no problem.  They call me back 5mins later and said filet isn't on the MDR menu, I explained it's on the kids menu, was put on hold and was told its an item not available for room service.  Maybe it can be ordered in person at the MDR.
