We are flying into Miami International from the UK and wanted to know if anyone has an idea of best way to get to Cruise terminal(everglades) was looking at an Uber as it is only 30 miles away , but on an old post someone mentioned an airport transfer bus but could not find anymore info.

Are you flying in the same day as you sail?  If you are you need a definite reservation for a transfer rather than rely on an Uber.
You are probably looking at a minimum of $100 for a private transfer. That is what we are paying in a couple of weeks.

Contact Larry’s Limos for excellent shuttle service. They provide clean vehicles, knowledgeable drivers and reasonable rates. I have used them personally a few times and have always been satisfied with there service. Recommended by many Cruise Critic posters.

+1 for Larrys Limo.  Particularly if you have an early flight.

Alternatively, we have used public transport involving an Uber to MIA Airport Tri-Rail station and then Tri-Rail (~5$) to the FLL Airport station ( which provided a free shuttle to FLL).

You have options:

1. Taxi, about $75+ depending upon where your hotel is located

2. Uber/Lyft - usually cheaper than a cab (and a nicer ride), but surge pricing can push up the cost

3. Tri-Rail train from MIA to one of the stations near FLL, then taxi/Uber or hotel shuttle

4. Private car service - I also recommend Larry's

Depending upon how late you arrive you might consider a hotel near MIA and then head to Port Everglades the next morning.

If arriving day of cruise you can also get a ship transfer price from MIA to PE by contacting your cruiseline directly.

Compare that with the above excellent options....then it should be an easy decision for what will work out best for you personally.

Cheers for the info we are arriving 2 days before ( helps with jet lag before cruise)so will most probably just get a uber to a hotel near cruise terminal.

Hope everything works well and enjoy your cruise.

We just booked through Larry’s. We fly into FLL but staying in Miami. Price wasn’t too bad plus it’s great to have someone that has your flight info so in case it’s late or early then they can adjust. Easy to book.

Do you mind sharing the cost? I am doing this same thing in September.
