I really don't think they would say a word if you and some others were playing a cash game on the ship. However, there's no way in the world they will allow you to promote an open game, much less reserve a lounge for it. I would expect any talk in the casino that goes beyond "wouldn't it be great if" might get you a word or two from the pit boss. I don't know how you could pull it all together unless you already had arranged something with folks via something like a roll call thread.

Also, I don't know that I'd be terribly keen on joining such a game. I love poker, and I expect you're an honest, good natured fellow. However, an invitation from some random other passenger for a private game would get my spidey sense tingling something fierce.

Brings to mind Paul Newman playing cards on a train in the movie The Sting.

I just discovered a few chips from a Celebrity cruise in a small handbag. No idea which one.🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m guessing they’re useless now.

Still good. I’ve brought chips from one ship to another no problem. I got sick at the end of a cruise and didn’t cash them out. Just brought them on my next cruise and started using them. I guarantee you that people will jump on this thread and say that’s not possible but I’m living proof it is.

I have seen quite a pile of dollar bills on the table in big group LRC dice games.  No one said anything to us in the afternoons in the Martini Bar on S class but it was not a long drawn out exposure.  Still gambling...didn't ask permission..

Most likely because they were dollars, if they were $20s odds increase that the crew would interrupt the game

I am definitely not a gambler. My first thought was "why wouldn't they not let you bring POTATO CHIPS onboard?". LOL!!!!!  😂

Best thing about playing with potato chips is you can break them for change.
