Rare mac_tlc Posted August 14, 2022 Author #52 Share Posted August 14, 2022 Lunch was in Sabor today. I do like Sabor and there are only a couple ships left where it exists. We pretty much had one of everything.
Rare mac_tlc Posted August 14, 2022 Author #53 Share Posted August 14, 2022 Dinner is in Coastal Kitchen tonight. It’s pretty hectic as night one usually is. This is our first time in CL on Harmony, and it is flipped from Oasis/Allure and appears to be smaller but I don’t think it is. Bar is not near the window. We will not be back to CK for dinner until Day 7, unless we change our schedule. 3
Rare OCSC Mike Posted August 14, 2022 #54 Share Posted August 14, 2022 Had a great dinner in Sabor on Harmony a couple months ago, first time trying it. Excellent filet in CK on night one. Enjoy! P.S. If Rodrigo is still onboard running CK, you'll love him. Very funny and great at his job.

Rare mac_tlc Posted August 14, 2022 Author #56 Share Posted August 14, 2022 (edited) We are attending the Aqua show tonight. Half of our group is here, the other half Is going to the movie in the Royal Theatre. We saw this show in 2019 and it was not our favorite Aqua show (that is reserved for Aqua80 on Oasis), but, for research purposes, we are willing to give it another try! mac_tlc Edited August 14, 2022 by mac_tlc
Rare perfect match Posted August 15, 2022 #57 Share Posted August 15, 2022 (edited) How was the parking lot when you arrived at port? When we last cruised from PCN in December we got there about 11:30 and the garage was packed! We did manage to snag a parking space but it was up on the top level. I’m hoping the fact that they have moved some of the ships to another terminal has helped with the parking lot congestion. Thanks for the show schedule. It will be different for our cruise because we’re doing Eastern Caribbean with our first two days being sea days, but at least it gives me a general idea as to how the show schedule is running. I hope you and your family have a great cruise. Thank you for taking us along. Edited August 15, 2022 by perfect match

Parking in terminal 1 is no problem whatsoever now. I parked in the terminal garage twice in the past couple months, once for Harmony, once for Indy. Although we do arrive earlier than 11:30, you should be fine. 3

The top outside deck has cones blocking it , later they were probably removed but the garage was not full when we left. mac_tlc

Rare mac_tlc Posted August 15, 2022 Author #65 Share Posted August 15, 2022 (edited) Enjoying our day at CoCo Cay. Since there are eight of us, we got an Oasis Lagoon cabana. Black Friday sale at $399, a great price. Here are some pictures: One of the best perks of having a cabana is not having to bring any towels from the ship! I haven’t heard any complaints about parking at Terminal 1 since Mariner was moved so I was assuming we would be ok, but I’m sure you know what happens when you assume 😂 so I figured I’d ask. We do have a 10:30 arrival time scheduled. Based on what you’re telling we we should be fine. 😎🛳

Yes the rooms there are the largest of all the resorts on Property. Did you get a chance to ride the boats to Disney Springs? With a group of 8 , it takes longer, plus the COR process seemed to be new to the check in person. Overall, about 45 minutes from curb to checkin. Raj met us in the terminal and escorted us to the Suite lounge, we’re there about 11:40. Suite was ready at 12 and it is really big. Here are some pictures of the living area, I’ll post the bedroom pictures later. Beautiful Cabin, Congrats on the Anniversary !

Rare mac_tlc Posted August 16, 2022 Author #72 Share Posted August 16, 2022 In Nassau today, with the Disney Wish and Carnival Liberty. Not sure if anyone will get off today, maybe a couple of us for a short walk. Did Jamie’s Italian last night and had a great meal. With a group of eight, they basically bring you every appetizer and serve it family style. Let’s everyone get a taste of everything. Were originally scheduled for the ice show but decided to not rush dinner and will go this afternoon at 3:30. Also Grease tonight. Dinner is at 150 Central Park, only 4 of the eight will go. Honestly, we are not as fond of 150CP since the menu change a few years ago. We enjoyed the previous menu, especially the bread salts….. But, for research purposes we will suck it up and go 😂. mac_tlc
Rare mac_tlc Posted August 16, 2022 Author #73 Share Posted August 16, 2022 A few random thoughts on CoCo Cay. We have been there 5-6 times since the redesign and it really is a much better stop, IOHO. I know some folks consider the changes gaudy or amusement park like but for those of us that don’t really want a sandy beach day, the lagoon pool is wonderful. One issue we had this time was the ear-splitting continuous music at the pool. When we were there in May, the DJ started at 12 noon. That gave a little time to actually be able to talk to the person next to you. This time it started at 10:30 and never stopped. It is not possible to talk to the person next to you. I know, my age is showing😜. Maybe an hour break for the overworked DJ??? Just a thought. mac_tlc 4
cindyscruise Posted August 16, 2022 #74 Share Posted August 16, 2022 I read many complaints about the music on the ships and Coco Cay. The complaints are coming from all age groups. Ear plugs are high on my packing list now. A family vacation should give people time to talk to one another - not yell or just give up because it is too difficult to converse. JCDCA Posted August 16, 2022 #75 Share Posted August 16, 2022 Quick question: how has the WiFi been on board? Would one be able to work from the ship/logon to the occasional zoom call? Booked on HOS in the future but sometimes do need to be able to work remotely. Thanks.
