Have It All Package - Add-on?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

Trust all is well.

We have been thinking about it, and were wondering if it's possible to add the "have it all" package later one?

Would we just need to call in the up sell number to add it? Or can we add it the day we embark at the port?

what's the lowest anyone has seen to add it?

Thanks,

TTN

Watch your “manage your booking” page.  They had been testing selling it there as a package.  You can call to have it added.   I was able to negotiate it  when the cruise was offered at sale.  The sale would have only decreased my price by a total of $50 per person. The sale would have required a cabin move which I did not want.  So for a 7 day cruise I paid $260 per person or $37 per person a day.

At least here in the states, the Best Price fare's 1/2-off deposit is non-refundable, while the Have-It-All (Best Value) is refundable -- which means re-fareable. Just checked and the current Best Value's deposit is ALSO 1/2-off, but refundable.

The factors included with the HIA can be purchases separately, and yes, after embarcation. But as far as I know, the HIA as a package is not. Here is a break down for my Koningsdam Vista Suite on a 9-day cruise:

Best Price $3049pp $6,098   50% deposit non-refundable
Best Value $3544pp $7,088   50% deposit refundable

$100 OBC   $100
Crew Appr.   $306
ShoreEX   $200
SBP   $1,167
Dinner (Pinnacle)   $92
WiFi Surf: $120 $240          $136 Premium bought pre-embark
Total:   $2,105

We're only in a Vista Suite because we have Pandemic FCC that is going to expire at the end of this year! My point is you need to do the calculations for yourself, to see what it is worth to you. Also you need to run a "dummy booking" to see what the charges and inclusions are for you booking in Canada.

Since dr'spin and I really enjoy the Signature Beverage Package, you can see that all the other perks are gravy to us! I threw in the cost pre-sailing for the Premium wifi just for your information. That is per device-on-line-at-the-same-time. But if you were wanting to total up what you would actually spend...

In the unlikely event that the deal would get even better, as we have the Best Value refundable deposit, we can refare up to final payment date. I know this isn't true in the UK! but I know who can tell you for Canada!

From what my PCC said when I booked our upcoming cruise, yes. We qualified for a Mariner rate that did not include HIA but she "added" it to that cruise (and she sounded like this was just something they can easily add). We both ran the numbers there on the phone and it was indeed a better deal than the general HIA rate being offered by a couple hundred dollars each.

I was lucky enough to score one of those “free” casino rate cruises so it of course didn’t include the HIA package…I was able to add it for an additional $350. Seems like a great price to me compared to some other line’s beverage package cost, let alone the additional benefits.

YMMV.

Nice! I had wondered about that as we have been getting casino offers for months.

I booked best price and then added the HIA after. As a solo it was a LOT cheaper.  The HIA is $50 pp if you add it (at leas it was when I did it). So, its a matter of math - for me is was a huge savings.

I caution anyone adding it when you get on the ship.  I did that the second week of a 2 week cruise but did it a couple days before.  It caused me grief because it was a lot of last minute changes and the koningsdam seems to struggle with getting my onboard account correct.  I really don’t feel you will have much to gain by waiting.

If you have a cruise already booked and didnt choose the HIA option, where do you add it after.  Can it be done in cruise planner or do you have to call?

I suspect it is done however you booked: TA, PCC, or phone rep. I have never seen it in Manage Your Booking (but it's possible I just didn't see it because I wasn't looking).

You are correct.  I've seen it listed there but I've seen no way to book it there.

Thanks for the info.   I booked online on the HA site.    I querried their site and it pointed me to the info and cost of $50.US Per day, but not in the cruise planner.  The info for $50.  Did not show that crew appreciation was included. Only Dining Beverages, Excursions and Internet.   That price far exceeded the cost if i chose HIA at time of booking.   I did my math,  and i could pay for those in my planner per item much cheaper for my 21 day cruise.

Could I ask how much you PCC charged to include it?

$45 pp per day for an 8 day cruise for 1st and 2nd. Our dd who is 5 was a 3rd person fare and hers was $22.50 per day. This was booked back in April of this year. That HIA was the Sig beverage package, one specialty meal, $100 excursion credit per guest (all 3 of us), and the Surf internet package for 1 and 2 only.

For some reason, I was able to add it via phone later to a casino rate cruise I have next month but not to a cruise in November where I got booked I’m on some other type of promo.  The PCC can look it up for you on the phone and give you pricing if it is available to you.  Oddly, we got the veteran’s $100 OBC on cruise we could not get HIA, but we couldn’t get it on the one where I was able to add the HIA.

I've added it post-booking to a "free" casino rate.  It showed up in manage my booking for $50/day.  When I emailed my PCC, he added it to each week of a B2B for $45/day.

I had booked the Rotterdam transatlantic through my TA (the original 14-night sailings), with HIA.  While on Zuiderdam, I purchased a deposit voucher.  When I got home I cancelled that booking and rebooked using that great Anniversary sale.  The bare bones fare was less than half of my original fare.  I then added HIA, again for $45/day, and later added Club Orange.  Total still less than my original booking.

The cost for HIA and CO combined was less than the difference between booking with and w/o HIA.  So, the perks of two packages for less than one if including it when booking.

Just hope I can use this method in the future.
