BobNoxious Posted August 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2022 Going on a Sunday cruise out of Port Canaveral. I am in NY (same time zone). Can I do my eMed test tonight at 12:01am (officially Thursday) - which is 3 days. Has anyone ever done theirs in the middle of the night?
time4u2go Posted August 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2022 No. Has to be no more than 2 days before, not 3 days. You could do it tomorrow night at 12:01am (officially Friday) for a Sunday cruise.
bonsai3s Posted August 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2022 Yes, we tested at 12:15 am...at home...no problems. * Ours was 2 days before boarding the Voyager out of Copenhagen. Tested early Friday morning just after midnight, and boarded Sunday.
Sunshine3601 Posted August 24, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 24, 2022 It is now 3 days for sailings out of the US, so yes you can do the test in the middle of the night. Time doesn't matter just the date. i.e. if your sailing leaves on Sunday you can test at 12:01 am on Thursday (Wednesday evening some may say). However, it seems they've removed the current policies from the website. Just looked at Royal's website. Instructions for vaccinated on cruises 6 or more days says tests within 3 days. The policy change on September 5th is no testing for cruises less than 10 days. It also is in my instructions on the app on my phone
DaniDanielle Posted August 25, 2022 #17 Share Posted August 25, 2022 Yes, three days before is now the protocol. Sunday cruises can test from Thursday on.

Done this 3 times, 2x from home with Florida sailings and once in our hotel in Amsterdam in May to fly home. Used emed tests each time. No problems. DaniDanielle Posted August 25, 2022 #20 Share Posted August 25, 2022 If you read the required testing part, says on or BEFORE Sept. 4th.

Starry Eyes Posted August 25, 2022 #24 Share Posted August 25, 2022 I can’t imagine how anybody could be confused, LOL. It was nice to test today for Sunday cruise, though not having to test at all will be nicer still.
