I'm confused and possibly in the same boat: I submitted my Royal Diamond and have not yet heard back.  However like you, this upcoming cruise is comped, due to a prior cancelation by Virgin.  So I take it, you were approved for the status match, but they are withholding the benefits, due to it being a comped cruise?  This is the same BS Virgin pulled, with my friend winning one of the free, 1,000 cruises last year.  We can't get the benefits for cruising in the first season: we are Grand Prize Winners, why not!  So basically the same BS again, how sad; I mean even for Casino Invited URComped guests?

Yes, looks like you summarized the situation perfectly. Our first cruise on the SL was through URComped, but the next one in January on the VL was a comp directly from the SL's casino department for play earned on our first sailing. As an aside the casino staff on the SL was really nice, and apparently most are from Celebrity and Royal's casino department. There's supposedly a VV Casino program rolling out sometime the end of the year.

Can I ask what you submitted as proof from Princess? I need to submit mine, but not sure what to upload - booking confirmation? Also, where does it show up once added?

Which gives your name, member number, and status level.

 

I received an email 2 days later informing me that the status had been matched, and the next day the extras showed up on my booking at: https://www.virginvoyages.com/book/accounts/dashboard?

I do not see the extras on my app, but I don't care. I'm sure we'll be well taken care of.

 

The fact that they were able to process this so efficiently even when I submitted it as HAL credentials speaks volumes. Since the restart, the customer service from Princess reps has been downright horrible.

I booked a cash booking, so now I have a back to back set of cruises (14 nights total) which the cash booking includes the $300 Comped Nov. Bar Tab.  I resubmitted the Status Match Request, with the new cash booking, and was within 20 min approved!

You also get a $200 Booking Bonus, for booking during a Hot Month Promotion.
