Strangely, we didn't get charged there. It might be one of those things where beeping a Yacht Club bracelet nullifies the cost.😉

Actually we did not try to buy a cone or soft serve seeing as we get as many as we want every lunch and dinner in the YC (except soft serve). I was just asking to report to all. The servers do not distinguish or know who is going to be charged or not when they 'swipe' ones key card. I suppose one will not find out until one checks their bill. Maybe the first one is free, like the treats in the mini bar?

Well ,unfortunately, I am forced to report the bad along with the good news. Still no lobster tails at the One Pool Deck seafood extravaganza.

There were none last Thursday either.  However, they did have crab legs cracked lengthwise which was a nice treat because I never bother with them.  Too much work for too little reward IMO.  But it was nice to have them already cracked and ready to eat.  I will be interested to hear if they offer lobster rolls on the private island day...

The character is clearly head-to-toe steampunk in design, starting with the de rigueur begoggled top hat, down to the Victorian spats.

A common theme in steampunk lierature is travel to a primordial place or time by elites from the world of industry and science. Such travel provides the plot in some well-known works by H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, and other authors in the steampunk canon.

That's a much more sophisticated answer than the one I gave to my spouse. I told her it was Mr. Potato Head.

Before you exit the ship at the end of this cruise, can you "pump" a higher up to see who will be YC director and HD on the Seascape? Looking forward to our January cruise.  🙂

Hotel Director on Seascape is Yannis K.The remaining staff are still unsure about who will be the YC director. They assume that it would be Robert Balla, but RB told us last month he was expecting a promotion and didn’t want to elaborate until it was official.

Did not see any crab legs today. Lobster rolls still part of Ocean House menu.

Have no fear. Hope to be back on board October 8 Seashore. Booked Seascape for end of December. Will report.

One drawback of the YC menu is the absence of any cake. Only way to get a piece of cake is to have a birthday or anniversary. Mentioned this to butler Ana Lisa this evening and she told us that they just added chocolate cake and cheesecake to the YC room service menu though it is not printed in the menus. She is bringing us both, tomorrow after Brooklyn Cafe set.

Spoke with the drummer in the Brooklyn Cafe. He is part of the Jazz quartet. He's been on for 6 months and is going home in two weeks. The rest of the group will be going to the Seascape. Did the QR code tonight in the cabin for the room service menu. The QR code menu reflects the cake addition.

This is usual. Tonight at the end of the "Off the Record On the Rocks" set, the vocalist made a plea to the audience not to forget to look for the emailed MSC comment card that will come in the next couple of weeks. That it is very important for those on board that have made a difference be acknowledged. That MSC actually reads them. This is the third time just this cruise. As if the Americans are pulling out and they all want to come with us.

Saw a report on FB that a gentleman called MSC to find out what Terminal will the Seashore depart from Saturday Sept 10, 2022. And was told Terminal F ?  We left from Terminal C and parked in Parking Garage C. Will inquire on board this morning at concierge desk, but all the concierges are new and 'not up to speed'. Also emailed our TA. Might have to leave DW at the curb with suitcases and make the trek to PG-C.

It's another beautiful day at Ocean Cay.And sorry cannot upload pictures. Discovered some new items of interest. Got off ship and headed to YC trolley pick up point. Told must wait as Ocean House was not ready for guests.Unusual. What is there to get ready? Lunch is not til 11:30. Sit and wait or go to shops and come back. So we opted to shop. Moseyed back to pick up point to find large group of YC guests being lead away to general population trolley pick-up station 100 feet away, where the larger trolley was commandeered to take us all to Ocean House. They packed this trolley full 4 to a seat, leaving the other non-YC guests to wait for the next trolley. Come to find out listening to the reports on the driver's walkie-talkie, they are down a couple of trollies today and wait times will be longer.

When we got to Ocean House we were greeted by our host of butlers. First time we got to see all the butlers smiling faces without masks. The tables, chairs and umbrellas have been upgraded for Ocean House in the last few weeks. Many of the umbrellas have concrete foundations on the lawn with tables for 4 under them. Also, the dining area has been expanded to the lawn in front of Ocean House under a canopy of palm trees. Quite inviting and were the first to be commandeered by some guests immediately. Having made our 'inspection' of Ocean House we took the next trolley back to the ship. Opting to spend the day on our 355 sq ft balcony over looking the entire island in the breezy shade. Did notice the slight smile creep over our butler's face when we stated we had reservations to eat at a specialty restaurant on the ship this noon (two less prima donnas to cater to today !).

Did MSC add spigot to wash sand off your feet close to club house?? I mentioned this to Robert and he said that was in the works.

When you get off the beach, you can rinse near the cabanas. Then feet get all sandy again walking to clubhouse.

The trolley ride back to the ship was slightly eventful as well. DW gets nauseous riding these trollies, so when she noticed the driver was not heading directly back to the ship she said something to the driver (we were the only ones on the trolley returning to ship). He said he just got a call for a pick up. He stopped and backed up 50 feet to pickup this very pretty spa girl and dropped her off at the other end of the island set up for spas. All the while his walkie-talkie was blasting "Car 54 where are you !" He did one 'nice' thing, he did not stop to pick up any 'waiting for trolley' guests on the way back. Saw some stunned faces as we sailed past them. Perhaps he could get away with the spa girl detour, but the route back with a full trolley could have been a dead giveaway of his cavaliere act when there was only supposed to be 2 YC guests on the trolley.

Very good news.  Upgrading and a better use of the space was needed.

Le Cabaret Rouge with "Off the Record On the Rocks" had the entire dance floor filled with passenger dancers as they played 'Disco' favorites.

Disco remains good music, particularly for dancing.  Have the group play Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" and I don't understand how anyone cannot start dancing or, at least, "gyrating" in their seat!

Have you had any air conditioning problems?

No. Cabin #16026 is quite large and must have its own air conditioning unit with two thermostats.. We had to raise the temperature gauge because it was too cold. We kept the thermostat at half way with one blue(cool) light and one red (warm) light. OR we just had very considerate neighbors that never kept their balcony doors open.
