when do I get the liquor i purchased on Freedom from the fun shop to take home?

They deliver it to your room the night before debarkation.

oh ok...We were on paradise in may and had to pick it up in the am.

Perhaps it varies by ship. Ours was delivered to us on our Vista cruise last August on the last night. It was a liter of Johnny Walker Black, and I sure was tempted to break it open & have a scotch & water, but I resisted, with a stern admonishment from wifey.

May have to pick up between 6:00-8:00am the last morning before debarkation. This was the case on Vista 3/26.

Depends on length of cruise in my experience.  7 days get delivered the night before, 5 days you have to pick up the morning of.

It actually varies from ship to ship, as others stated. Nothing to do with days cruised. I've had to pick our liquor up more times than not .

I wait to buy until the last day so I can just take it back to my cabin. .. I do check and make sure it's not something they are short.

My understanding is that for cruises 7 days or longer, it gets delivered the night before so it can be packed, whereas 6 nights or shorter you pick up in the AM.

I agree, I think it is about the ship itself.  I would just check in at fun shops when they open the first day after sail away and ask, then you can plan accordingly.  It can be a pain if you have to pack it and can't pick it up until the morning of debarkation so best to be prepared.
