Sailed both the EDGE and APEX in a Sky Suite.  My Personal Concierge stocked my fridge with beer (I think it was Heineken) and small bottles of Jack Daniels, per my request.  Dined in Luminae, which was quite good.  surprisingly the MDRs were also quite good.  The one Specialty restaurant I would make a point of dining in would be EDEN!

Both of my Personal Concierges were excellent.  And, my interfaces with the desk Concierges in the Retreat Lounge were also very good.

The rest were good, but not head and shoulders better than the MDRs.  That's more a complement to the MDRs than a knock on the Specialty Restaurants.

Why Eden?

I felt the meal ranked in the top 3 or 4  I’ve had on any cruise.  The Waitstaff gave a brief tour of the open kitchen, identifying who was doing what.  Service was great. The food ranked near the top of any I’ve had anywhere.  Plus, the atmosphere (was seated by a window overlooking aft) was great.

How does it compare to Le Voyage?

Reading this thread and focused on whether one is “assigned” to either Luminae or Blu, we are in an Aquaclass Sky Suite in the Retreat on the Beyond and wonder if anyone knows which restaurant we would be “assigned” to - meaning no need to make a reservation.  Thanks.

If you are in the Retreat, then Luminae is your assigned restaurant and no res required.  You can also eat in any of the MDR's any time

According to the website, Blu is your assigned dining room.

Edit to add:  Although in another spot it does mention Luminae so hopefully someone who has actually sailed in one of these suites can comment.

We did the Retreat boarding at 25. We drive to the port ourselves. Missed the suites luggage drop off as the sign was obscured by a law enforcement vehicle parked in front of it. Other than that it was a nice change.

Where did you park? Is there covered parking close? We normally sail Miami or Port Canaveral and can’t find much info on this. We are staying PH sun aim to arrive early!

We're currently in a Suite on Reflection.  We've been able to order anything from the Luminae, Blu or MDR menu while we're in Luminae.  We also order room service desserts from any of those restaurants too.  If you're in a suite, I know you're allowed to dine in Blu if there is room.  AQ guests can't dine in a Luminae, unless your in an AQ suite

The ice on the ship melts too fast.

Rather unique.  First time I have heard of that one.

good example of how reactive a Butler can be.  I wonder which freezer he had to use.  I hope you gave you Butler a big tip.

Glad you enjoyed your drink exactly as you wished.

We had a female butler, and of course we leave a nice tip.

We didn't make any other requests.

Our sailing in November will be my fourth time having a butler. I have tended to find additional uses each time. We entertained the last two times. I'm going to let the butler arrange specialty dining on this cruise. Got checked-in yesterday! 44 more days.
