Vitamin_Sea Posted October 15, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2022 Ok we are doing a B2B on Meraviglia out of port Canaveral FL. What is the process involve when doing the second cruise? Do we get off then back on or do we stay on? Does the bags stay on?
shipgeeks Posted October 15, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2022 Bags stay on. Do you have the same cabin? When we did B2B on Seaside, we had to meet in a lounge, go as a group to Immigration, then return. The only holdup was when some pax went in a back door and did not check themselves in, so we all waited a long time for them (kind of like the old muster drills). We handed in our old cards, and were immediately given new ones. Pretty easy. I imagine one could get off the ship for a few hours, once checked through.
CruisingFox27 Posted October 15, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2022 If you wish to leave the ship for the day, you proceed as usual for an excursion and complete immigration on your return. All passengers must disembark and a zero count completed. If you don't wish to go ashore on a trip. You'll meet in a lounge, complete immigration and return to the ship. Your possessions and bags do not need to leave the ship with you.

cellfree Posted October 16, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2022 We did a B2B on Divina a couple weeks ago, process as everyone outlined above. Adding, all of the B2Bers on the Divina were invited to lunch in the dining room as opposed to joining all the new cruisers embarking, it was delightful, had a great luncheon menu, very relaxing.

We had the lunch today on Meraviglia. It was a very good meal. I actually hoped this appetizer would be more asparagus than prosciutto but it wasn't. Catch of the day was swordfish. Panna cotta

You should also have gotten your new cards (if needed) before you debark. When you come back, you can bypass the check-in process since you are already checked in. As many as you want no charge in the complimentary restaurants. Now, if you’re in a specialty (fee-based) restaurant, you do need to pay for additional dishes. But I believe that’s true with every cruise line these days.
