Table games are smoke free. Some machines are penny machines but the minimum to bet is more than 1 cent. Last time I played black jack the minimum bet was $6 Edited October 24, 2022 by memoak
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted October 24, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2022 On the Grand: No smoke free days/nights No smoking in a very small slot section and at tables "Penny" slots with minimum of x number of lines (I think the minimum play on some machines was like 30 cents) 2
Rare iamaqt2 Posted October 24, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2022 A small section of the casino is smoke free, but it's pointless really as it wafts everywhere. Tons of 1 cent machines but the minimums on the older machines are at least 40-50 cents a spin and some of the newer machines are a dollar and up. Lots of machines to play for every taste. Even quarter and dollar machines. Don't play table games, so can't help there, sorry.
Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted October 24, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2022 There absolutely *are* penny slots on board. You may have to look for them tucked away in a corner or such but on the Discovery and Island (within past 2 months) we played them! (Yes, we're somewhat cheap!)
Mike45LC Posted October 24, 2022 #7 Share Posted October 24, 2022 On Sapphire, table minimums are $5 craps, $6 blackjack (6:5), $10 blackjack (6:5), $25 bj (3:2), three tables that look like three card poker games ($5 minimum). Two roulette tables with $5 minimum. There are so-called penny slots, but I don’t think any of them have one cent spins. In today’s casinos, most “penny slots” have minimum spins of $0.40 or more. A guy won over $10k today on a “penny slot” playing $2.25 per spin!

After the pay out, was there heard a big splash as that machine disappeared from the Casino? 😁 Bob 1

Penny slots are my fun between events. The problem is that I can almost go bust and some computer decides to keep me in all the smoke. I have a cash-out from Ceasars Palace for 4 cents under the Las Vegas refrigerator magnet. The wife blew $20 in five minutes. I was stuck at the slots for over an hour. Yes, I am cheap too. bjkTX Posted October 25, 2022 #10 Share Posted October 25, 2022 I won $160 in my first 8 minutes on a penny slot machine on the Emerald Princess two weeks ago - so yes they have penny slots. I was playing 88 pennies at a time, I'm not sure what the minimum was - maybe 36 or so and it went up to at least 888 because my wife had also won $100+ and a few minutes later I looked over and she was back to even - somehow she changed her bet from 30+ to 888 and didn't notice it... There were several penny machine scattered around. As for smoking I just didn't notice - the casino never had many people in it when we were there. Good luck! windsor26 Posted October 25, 2022 #11 Share Posted October 25, 2022 No smoking at all in any Australian cased cruises and I did find a couple of 1c machines that you could bet 12c pe4r5 spin but only 2 machines They seem to have removed or re calibrated all the machines that allow you to bet 5c or 10 c a spin but until you have put money in you cannot always see what the minimum bet is as they have fancy decor on the buttons instead of numbers
justafem Posted October 26, 2022 #12 Share Posted October 26, 2022 Yup, penny slots, but I think the minimum bet is 75 cents to $1. I've found playing the quarter slots at max of 3 quarters pays better. Smoking is now every night in the casino, on about 2/3 of the casino floor. There's no smoking at the table games. Min bet is normally $5 at the table games.
Esjung1 Posted October 26, 2022 #13 Share Posted October 26, 2022 The casino didn't smell like smoke, however there was an odor of perfume or Febreze that was always there (probably trying to mask the smoke smell).
Mike45LC Posted October 27, 2022 #14 Share Posted October 27, 2022 The lowest price per spin I have seen was a one credit spin on a two cent slot machine. There was a bank of four such machines. This is on Sapphire Princess, now.
