Every port is the US.

Your probably right!  But, to be honest, I didn't see any Coast Guard or heavy police presence in boats or on land at the Seattle Port, in May.  They could have been there, but I didn't see it.

Heavy = heavily armed, large numbers

If I was a gang wanting to rob people at Labadee, and I don't THINK this will happen, I'd go directly to the ship, bypass the people on land, board her and start taking people that are on the ship to their cabins and get them to open their safe(s) and go to Guest Services.  Afterall, ships are very very unsecure.  Most don't have arms available (as I've been told) to them.  Even if they are armed, they are so securely stored, it would take too much time to issue them in an effective manor.

Again, that's not to say that I think this would happen in Labadee.  JMHO

I was on a HAL ship when a male passenger in his 40’s seemingly for no reason punched an elderly woman in the face.Within minutes armed guards came to subdue him. This was in 2010 so things may have changed but I tend to doubt it.
