MCO to FLL/Port Everglades transportation

Hello!  We are leaving in under three weeks to cruise out of Fort Lauderdale.  Due to the limited flights sold out from our home airport to FLL, we ended up going to MCO/Orlando. We arrive on 11/18 late evening to MCO with a cruise on 11/19 out of Port Everglade and PAT of 2 PM.

Has anyone used a specific company to transport their party from MCO to Fort Lauderdale?  We are a party of 4.  Looking to book same company/person for both ways.

Two one-way rental cars are your best bet. The drive from MCO to the FLL area will take about 3.5+ hours. Grab an early breakfast and you can be on the ship before noon.

Shuttle service from MCO to Port Everglades if you can find it will cost you more than your airline tickets. The cheapest way to travel would be renting two one way car rentals for the two hundred twenty five miles which under normal circumstances will take you approximately four hours. Personally I would drive down the night of your arrival and stay overnight at a hotel in the Fort Lauderdale area. Wake up refreshed and relaxed and ready to start your cruise vacation. On your return rent a vehicle for the trip back to MCO.

Looking at Amtrak in December...no late night trips...$137.pp for the daytime trips. (one way)

The arrival on Friday is late evening, so the next morning departure time from MCO to FLL on the Amtrak arrives after the ship leaves, so that's a no-go for us on this trip.

 

I did find a FLIXBUS option for $160 total for the four of us, but the pick up locations are further west than our planned overnight stay.

Looking at one-way car rentals seems to be the option after reading your comments, thanks!
