got my room assignment as well.  they moved me allll the way to the front of the ship.  now, i have no idea why i have never booked forward cabins before, but i've always done midship or aft.   please tell me that i'm going to LOVE forward.  i am literally the 4th or 5th balcony from the bridge (or the grayed out bridge looking thing on deck 8 😎 at the front).  should i keep this or beg to be moved back?

Funny thing is I was forward and now they moved me to aft. Never done forward before so Magic would have been my first time.

If you where Mid Ship on the Magic cruise i would be calling. I have never done that far forward on any cruise. Have done slightly aft on 2. Always concerned about noise. Good Luck with your choice

as far as noise goes, the one good thing is that there are rooms both above and below, so no open spaces.   i'm so torn.  maybe i'll just leave it as is and see if i can find something redeeming about the front of the ship!  what if i find that it is some hidden secret and secretly everyone says 'stay away from the front' so they can steal alll of the good rooms?  lol. i'll prolly just leave it. i'm just glad to have a balcony on this one.

Still no cabin assignment for us.

check your account. in the cruise manager go to the booking and order details page. then you should see your cabin assignment. this is where i found my assignment. to this date i still not received any updated cabin confirmations emails from carnival that has my cabin assignment on it. kind of surprised they are not sending them out. they were quick to send me an updated confirmation that had TBA on it but none with my actual assignment.

Thanks, it still has TBA on the Carnival website.  I confirmed my cancellation deadline so I guess I'm going to wait it out but just kind of curious how many others still don't have it.

I love forward cabins. Tends to be quieter. The only real drawback is if you are prone to motion sickness, there is a lot more motion up there. The distance for walking may get to some, but I always figured it's an easy opportunity to burn a few of those extra calories.

You have alot of patience. There is no way. And whatever sailing you're on, you can be sure people are steady booking cabins.

It's kind of a complicated situation, this is the third rebooking from covid for various reasons so I'd like to keep the OBC we got from covid.  I haven't been able to find anything equivalent for price yet to request a switch.  Plus I used AARP gift cards that I may or may not still to process a refund and I'd be stuck with Carnival anyways.

What kind of cabin were you assigned to? The day before I got mine they say they were working on suites and then balcony. Balconies and suites should be done from a few das ago.

We have an ocean suite with 4 passengers.  Venezia has exactly two cabins that match this and since it's an ocean suite, there's no upgrade that I see possible.  I think there are about half the total suites on Venezia (18?) compared to the Magic (40?).

to add to this chaos, back when it was still the magic, we had tried to get a suite and they were sold out at that time...so i can't even imagine how they are going to split this on our sailing.

We are booked on the July 25th cruise, originally a Magic booking, through a casino offer. Stateroom is still showing as Suite (Ocean Suite) TBA. The other stateroom on the booking, for my daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons, is a Balcony cabin that was assigned a new stateroom # within days of the ship change announcement. I don't plan to make any additional payment or book a third cabin for my son who has now decided that he will be able to get time off to go until the Suite TBA has been assigned.

I went into Carnival.com and my Magic cruise wasn't listed. So I added my booking number and it brought up my cruise. I went to print luggage tags and found out my room. It was an adjoining on deck 8-was able to change to non adjoining thru my PVP. Go to cruise planner and make sure cruise booking is listed otherwise add it and should bring up room

Best of luck-feel like this hasn't been handled the best

I mentioned on another thread that I have two bookings on Venezia currently. The first sailing on NYC (booked it for **** and giggles), and one in October. All the Terrazza cabins were not even showing up, not even marked as sold out for the first summer sailings. I grabbed one of the square inside cabins on deck 2. 4 days? I'll be fine with one of the large square inside. I usually go Havana on Vista or larger (or Terrazza on the Venezia sailing I have in October).  I am wondering if the Terrazza cabins are being reserved for those being inconvenienced by the redeployment. Guess we wont know until things shake out.

FINALLY was able to call and get myself moved into a Terrazza interior for the inaugural Bermuda run. Was thinking about the cabana, but I have one in October, and for 4 days it wont be a deal breaker. Not having the Terrazza was increasingly becoming one though.

I booked my cabin in mid-November, after it was announced that the Venezia would replace the Magic. I chose my stateroom when I booked.

So I think it’s kind of ridiculous that people who were already booked haven’t been assigned rooms or had the option to choose.

So if you already knew another ship would be coming in, why did you not wait and pick what cabin you wanted? Not looking to start an argument, just a genuine question.

it was not known at that time that carnival would be changing the ship. Originally people were booked on the carnival magic with a cabin they picked. when carnival switched ships they reassigned people to different cabins

ok, because your post read like you booked the cabin after it was known that the ship was changing... makes sense now. I thought you got caught up in that mess too,

Anyone else still without an assignment?  We still have no assignment.

Did you have an assigned stateroom on the Magic and still waiting for the replacement room number to be assigned on the Venezia, or did you book a 'to be assigned' room?

We booked a specific cabin on the Magic and are still waiting for an assignment on the Venezia.  Reads TBD still and our TA has said that Carnival is telling them it's now a guarantee.   I think I mentioned it before, but we had an OS w/4 passengers and Venezia only has two cabins with that configuration and no cabins classes above OS so I don't see how any upgrade would be possible.  No one can tell me what happens if we show up with a guarantee and nothing is available.  I still have time left on my cancellation dates, but I'm wondering if anyone else is still waiting.  If nothing else, bumping this back up to the top so everyone else is aware of how Carnival is handling this situation in case anyone else gets in a similar situation.

sounds like it's time for a John Heald intervention. Hope your situation gets rectified quickly.
