Boarding time from the Oceania hotel to the ship

We are staying at the O hotel the night prior to boarding the ship in Miami.  From you’re experience, what time do those from the hotel normally board!

Thanks for your wisdom!

You will be informed of your included transfer time from the O representative who is onsite when you check-in to the hotel.Transfers are usually buses and depart time is typically mid-morning. Depending upon how many guests are staying at the hotel, there maybe one or more buses to bring you to the port. O now has online check-in which you do from home (upload your photos, etc.) and you select what time to embark on the ship from choices they give you. We select embark time closest to noon as hotel guests all arrive at the same time regardless of time selected on pre-cruise check-in.

Any idea what time new passengers start embarking?  I really have no desire to arrive with 50 others and stand in line for everything.  We might just take a cab.

I believe  boarding usually starts about 11 am  unless  the ship has just arrived from Europe  then it may be delayed due to  inspections by CDC

We have never received any info regarding embarkation time from the O representative at the hotel and when the transfer arrived at the port, there were usually queues by cabin category e.g., PH, Concierge etc. which expedites the process (not in Copenhagen though). The new online checkin saves some time.  However, we've never sailed from Miami so have no idea how they handle embarkation. Taking a taxi is always an option.

Maybe I missed this  in reading the previous comments but there is no predictable transfer time.  It depends on where the hotel is and where the ship is. We are usually in a suite which has earlier boarding times(and while once or twice we were in the hotel O uses, usually we are on our own). BUT we tend to have a late breakfast, then do some touring and THEN go to the ship on our own.  We like to get there in time for lunch but if we miss it we go to the lounge for some sandwiches, etc.  (this has rarely been necessary.)

A lot of this, of course, can depend on the time the ship is scheduled to leave port.  10pm?  4pm?

In our experience, the transfer time from the O hotel is after breakfast, mid-morning and always before the usual check-out time for hotels which is typically 11am.  The time the ship departs from the port has never been a factor.  We have found the O representative at the hotel helpful giving this info when you check-in along with a handout stating the time to be in the hotel lobby for the transfer..
