I had been traveling 5-9 times a year for work back before covid... and had gotten "randomly" checked multiple times.

The final straw for me was getting rub down frisked in a dressing room for "an anomaly"... I had a freaking TISSUE in my pocket! 

 

Fine! take my money, I am not going through THAT again!

Oh no not an anomaly that ended up being a tissue! Thank goodness you didn’t miss your flight. TSA is always on some foolishness. 😱😱

And yes, TSA precheck is 100% a game changer. We have a small airport at home, but the TSA line can still be an hour or more at times. Since I got precheck, I've never stood in line more than 10 minutes. At bigger airports, I've been blessed that it's also been less than 20 minutes to get through. I've been flagged for extra security screening randomly, but it's so far been as easy as "do you have a cell phone in your bag?" "yes" "ok you're good" (they didn't physically check) or being wanded or walked through the body scanner, without having to go sock footed or half naked. After making derby hats in Kentucky, they even had me wear mine through the scanner so it wouldn't get crushed in the bag scanner. It's great!

Thank you 🙏🏾!  I enjoy it. By reading my notes, I get to relive the cruise again, and it reminds me of so many things that I’d already forgot about.

Regarding the guy getting arrested, it's a regular occurrence in Galveston (almost sounds as if Galveston is full of thugs, yes?).  There is a webcam that I follow regularly, and the camera operators always focus on the people getting their own personalized disembarkation by the police when the ships arrive.

As you, and others have pointed out, some of the guests these days on Carnival are not desirable to travel with. Sure the majority do not fall into that category. I love Carnival but............since I can afford it, will take my travel dollars elsewhere for the time being. 

Love your stories. Love you. Will always follow no matter where you go.

 People certainly act stupid on board to the point where they need an escort.  I’ve also heard (but have no way of verifying) that they had a warrant before they boarded.  Unless we have an inside scoop, it’s all speculation.

Word on the street was that dude had warrants, and he got into some sort of altercation with his spouse. There was also another guy who received the special escort out for allegedly trying to skip out on his Sail and Sign bill.  I’m not sure how true any of that is, but it sure was interesting to see! 👀👀😱

Don't pick LAX.  TSA precheck is even more of a headache there especially if it is blended with the non-precheck people and the agents are not aware of who has what.

That's crazy!  Where did he think he could go?  It's like when DH and I watch NCis Hawaii and there's a car chase.  Where are you driving to bud?😉
