Thank you, Bird, for another great review!

We typically use the jetted areas of the thermal spa the majority of the time when we use the spa pass.  Is the pass worth it for the other features? It seems so disappointing compared to the thermal spas on Breakaway and Breakaway Plus class of ships.  Are there new spa features offered to compensate for the loss of the jetted areas / bubbles?

Thanks for the insights. That is a pretty sad setup for enthusiasts.

Yeah, I was gonna post a pic for my local group but I didn't want to be laughed off the courts later today.

That net is sad...oh well. The funny thing is I found a review somewhere where the reviewer said it was the best pickleball court he'd ever seen! I've seen much better on Holland even though I'll never sail them again.

That is a personal decision.

There are two pools filled with warm water (not bubbling or jetted). The larger pool is fresh water. The smaller pool is “salt water”. Not sure what “salt water” means,,, it is not sea water. Maybe diluted sea water.

On !A/BA+/Epic class ships, people spend some time in the pool,,, but most of the time using other facilities.

The Prima Theater, home of Donna Summer, Noise Boys (what aren’t all boys), The Price Is Right, and other shows nightly. To minimize crowding, the theater loads from Decks 6 and 7. There are comfy boxes along the sides of Deck 7. And there is a balcony on Deck 8.

There are two bars on either side of Deck 6. The large oval lighting rig is lowered when the theater is used at a night club to provide amazing lighting and laser effects.

At first, it took the crew almost 2 hours to convert the theater into a night club. Now that conversion takes less than 20 minutes and is part of the show with passengers invited onto the stage to witness the transformation.

Every seat in the orchestra section is folded down. Hand rails are folded. And decorative panels installed at the stairs on each level.

Once ready, the entire orchestra section is retracted like old high school gym bleachers.

Booths are wheeled out along with bars on the dance floor. Then the party begins!  Supported by both the cruise director’s team and dancers from Donna Summer dancing to well choreographed numbers, everyone has a great time.

Yes, we are booking 6-6:30. So no matter what night, we will be able to catch her later show. Thanks, Bird.

If you care to see the transformation of the theater into the club, immediately after the late show is when it happens. It's a production in itself 🙂

Did you happen to notice if any of the pools in the thermal suite have bubbles? The crew member who gave us a tour of the area told us that those pools aren't supposed to have bubbles, but I heard through the grapevine that they might have the bubbles working some time while the ship is in Miami.

Hey @Cruising Lynne

The Bird would like to correct an inaccurate report. The jets in the main pool were not working on my October Prima cruise and were not working yesterday because the pool was closed due to [minor] sea conditions.

But today, all 20 of the stations in the big pool were working, shooting out keys of warm water.

That is good news!  Next time I will spring for a thermal suite pass.

Good Morning Harvest Caye!

The pool has a lot of comfy loungers and umbrellas. The swim-up bar bartenders are busy serving those who want to mix water sports with an adult beverage.

Note: all of the establishments on Harvest Caye are run by the Belize locals (like any other port of call). So, yoir beverage package and ship card do not work on the island  you need to have cash or a credit card.
