Rental car shuttle to Port Everglades

We are flying into Fort Lauderdale before our cruise and plan to get a rental car at the airport. I have read that some of the rental car places allow you to rent a car at the airport and get a shuttle to Port Everglades upon returning the car. Some such as Budget and Avis require you to return the car to a different location then shuttle to the port. Does anyone have any experience with this. I have been looking at Alamo (can't find very much info on whether they will shuttle you to the cruise port), Budget and Avis. Has anyone done this and which rental car company is best for this?

From the airport to the cruise port is less than 3 miles. I have no information reguarding rental cars or there shuttles.

We've used Budget (booked through Costco) pick up at FLL and returned to their Budget office on 17th Street. They do have a comp shuttle to PE.

It is easer to take a cab..

All you have to do is look on the Hertz site. 2400 Miami Rd, just outside the port.

We booked with Budget for our cruise - pick-up at Fll and drop off at EV3(which is the entrance to the port. Then shuttle to terminal, can also pick up rental there.

For those who recently used Budget,  what was the turn around time from drop off til shuttle left to get you to Port..does the shuttle continually run
