Rental car shuttle to Port Everglades

We are flying into Fort Lauderdale before our cruise and plan to get a rental car at the airport. I have read that some of the rental car places allow you to rent a car at the airport and get a shuttle to Port Everglades upon returning the car. Some such as Budget and Avis require you to return the car to a different location then shuttle to the port. Does anyone have any experience with this. I have been looking at Alamo (can't find very much info on whether they will shuttle you to the cruise port), Budget and Avis. Has anyone done this and which rental car company is best for this?

Budget and Hertz have drop-off locations near the cruise port with shuttles to the piers.

I am not aware any car rental place at FLL will shuttle you to the port. That is the way it was pre-Covid, and have not heard any different since resumption of cruising.

 

There are car rental places close to the port. These are the places that, pre-Covid, shuttled you to the port. The issue here is there hasn't been clear reports that the close to port rental facilities have resumed port shuttles. 

 

You need to select the close to port offices for returning your car, but before booking, call them and confirm the availability of the shuttle.
