Retreat for cooler weather itinerary

We are considering  which type of room to choose  for the  12 night Apex  Ireland/ Iceland  itinerary.  If we choose  the Retreat room,  will the cooler weather  impact the  experience   in any way ?  We  chose a Sky suite  on a Mexico route and we used the  Retreat area a lot so we were wondering   about the experience for Iceland. Thanks !

We love the Retreat on E class .  We were on the.Beyond and it was too cool and windy to use the Sun Deck.  For us that’s is the best part of the Retreat. We are not fans of Luminae  and we may spend  30 minutes a day in the Lounge.   So we probably would not  pay the Retreat prices on a cool weather cruise.

We haven’t been in Retreat on E class, but specifically chose retreat on Millie for Alaska in May.  It was lovely.  Not crowded, staff was there offering drinks.  Plenty of places to curl up on a lounger with blankets and see the inside passage without standing behind 4 other people at the railing.  We had lunch outside At The Retreat space twice.  Never more than a few others around, so it was like a private hideaway.

We did cruise Iceland on Silhouette, and managed to have dinner at Lawn Club Grill while sailing away.  It wasn’t too windy or cold, as we have a favorable memory of sitting outside that night.  Of course, all weather dependent.  Enjoy your trip, Iceland/Ireland are amazing.

We were on the Greenland / Iceland cruises.    While there isn't much opportunity to sunbath the Retreat Sun Deck was always open and staffed.   They have blankets available should you desire one.

Fantastic view for cruising through the Fjord's and they had a special Hot Chocolate and Hot Toddy event during the passage.    The ship also had the Helipad open for all guests but Retreat Sundeck provided better views and some protection from the wind.

When sailing the Retreat we still use our balcony for sunbathing (weather permitting).  We never use the Retreat for the small pool or sundeck.  That's just us.  We do like to use the inside part of the Retreat or the Retreat outdoor bar.
