scrosso Posted December 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2022 Hi Qq for anyone who has experienced this before. We have a suite and as I understand it that means we have a different check in line. 1. Do we have to still board at our assigned time? 2. Our children (4 years old), and another family member are in a different cabin but not a suite , can they check in with us (bookings were all done together) or do we all need to go into the regular line. Thank you in advance
Cigar King Posted December 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 22, 2022 1) You have an hour on either side of your check in time. 2) We have not had issues in situations like this. If it's a problem just check in via the regular line.
firefly333 Posted December 22, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 22, 2022 Galveston didnt have a separate line outside for suites. However once inside which took a while, they were called first with key and hc.
Starry Eyes Posted December 22, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 22, 2022 You may want to tell us what ship/port, as people can then share the most relevant experiences. There is variability among ports.

Starry Eyes Posted December 22, 2022 #6 Share Posted December 22, 2022 In my experience Port Canaveral has not been checking the times on set sail passes as one enters the terminal building. Once you enter the building, there are two lines for security screening. One line for suites+pinnacle. All others go to the general line. When you show the screener a suite set sail pass, they likely will allow your whole party into the suite security line (if not, you can join the general line with your other family member). After security you will go upstairs. Again, a screener may well send your your entire group to the suite check in area (if not, you can join the general line with your other family member). Same deal with the boarding waiting area and suite boarding. My experience with the check in personnel at Port Canaveral has been positive. Politely explain and ask them (with an adorable, well behaved 4 year old in tow if possible😉)

We boarded her for Thanksgiving. We got a text a day or two before that advised we could board a hour before/after our assigned time. The 4 yoa shouldn't be an issue. We didn't try to board anybody else with us who weren't in a suite, but all they can do is turn them away. BTW: we never stopped walking once we got to the terminal. Never went to an area where we had to sit and wait. Edited December 23, 2022 by ATSEAMYLIFE
midwife1021 Posted December 23, 2022 #8 Share Posted December 23, 2022 In Miami for Oasis, there was a guy who confirmed we were all either suite or pinnacle to use the expedited line. We had zero wait and they didn’t check our times either. We were on the ship within about 10 minutes of entering the terminal.
Rare island lady Posted December 23, 2022 #9 Share Posted December 23, 2022 Totally simple. Just hang back and board with your non-suite relatives. Stay together. You will all get on the ship at some point...it won't leave without you.

Or be nice and do the right thing. Board in general line together. What is so hard about that? Edited December 23, 2022 by island lady
