Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #426 Share Posted January 5, 2023 I’m going to catch up on photos from yesterday. For the line crew.
Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #427 Share Posted January 5, 2023 We returned from the ship around 4pm. Harmony’s baby left the nest. Eventually all baby cruise ships grow up and move out. The NCL ship was waiting her turn. Like the unhappy grandma with no patience remaining at the buffet. While we were gone our towel zoo had grown. We have to free them in a few days but they too will have to leave the nest. 15
Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #428 Share Posted January 5, 2023 Dinner with a view is great. A view like this though, million times better. Owen was chatting with the parents for the brother and sister from Paradise Beach for a few minutes when he was returning to the dining room. We introduced ourselves on the way out and they are a family from San Diego. Nice people. We also learned that the pop up pianist stores his ivory at On Air. He was rolling out on our way by.
Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #429 Share Posted January 5, 2023 We primmed up for the Quest at the Pub. A throwback to old times. Miss you @CruiseLifeRick IMG_6924.MOV
Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #430 Share Posted January 5, 2023 (edited) And then we were off to the Quest. It didn’t take long to pick our team. The suit jacket made us both think we found our “home”. Crazy suit means team player in our eyes. A large group of 20 year olds joined our team and the game was on. They too were at the pub and were primed and ready to go. A few photos with no explanations. You can use your imagination is all I will say. A lot of the old quest challenges have been changed and it was lot more fun and unpredictable. Crazy dancing for extra points. This guy was pole dancing. I was swinging my shirt like most of the other men. Lisa was like, that view is not a million times better. This young lady gave up her dress for a suit jacket… so this fine gent could strut his stuff. Man, he feels like a woman. His strut was great, way better than the other men out there. Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #431 Share Posted January 5, 2023 All said and done we came in second, to the team beside us. Cheaters and scoundrels they are, but we gave them a great challenge. And just like that Wednesday became… 3

Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #433 Share Posted January 5, 2023 We might need to speak to our frog. It’s taken up smoking. Escargot might not be available all nights, but frog legs might be added tonight. Owen talking to the parents might be part of his manoeuvres. If so, top points for getting in good with the parents. I met Lisa’s parents two years before I met her, just an observation. I guess we could replace the car in the RP and just place this ship there. 😀 9

Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #435 Share Posted January 5, 2023 Now time for our brief rundown of Paradise Beach. We think it is the medium , size wise, of Nachi and Playa Mia. It wasn’t over run like Playa but it certainly wasn’t guilt like Nachi. As you can see the beach is fairly crowed to both sides of us. Left side. Right side. The next beach club is a bit further down. Carlos and Charlie’s I think. The water park is straight ahead. They have different price points for booking. We booked the inclusive with came but all but the top shelf alcohol. We also paid the $10 for Owen to go on the water park. The best thing to do is check their website for exact pricing and entry packages. Menus for food and drink. 4

Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #438 Share Posted January 5, 2023 As for the resort we found it to be clean. The bathrooms were good, the food delicious, the drinks tasty and the service was great for us. Lisa and I took a did in the pool as well. It was heated. These two gentlemen took care of us and the folks around us. They had iPads that sent in drink and food orders to be prepared. The bar was steps from the beach, literally. Someone placed this chair along the edge of the beach and it made Me think of Kenny Chesney’s Old Blue Chair. The pelican came and went all day from the pier structure. Owen did the floating water park and thoroughly enjoyed it. 3, 2, 1 jump. IMG_6830.MOV

Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #441 Share Posted January 5, 2023 (edited) So our overall thoughts of Paradise Beach. We found it nice enough to return, with some caveats. We would come here when Owen is joining us. He needs enough to keep him active physically where as we could just lounge all day. For Lisa and I solo we would go to Nachi. Quiet, the right speed and not not overly active. Playa Mia on the other hand is busy like Costco. People coming and going, and a lot of activity. For March for the Bell cruise I think we will be going to Paradise again. It’s a happy medium that works for the three of us. Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 5, 2023 Author #442 Share Posted January 5, 2023 Been enjoying the afternoon shade on our balcony. Costa Maya, the port that can be enjoyed in person or from the ship. The stop at the Mexican Pharmacy has helped amazingly. Hope @Yorkvillaindoesn’t make a third split to his screen with this photo.

I think Costa Maya must translate to hotter than a snakes crack in a wagon right. I’m perspiring from places I didn’t know possible. Sunrise. Land ahead. Owen has earned another band. He can now self load and do stand up. There is a wrist in there somewhere. If you do as much surfing you will have to hook up with marty, from sea to shining sea hubby. He will be surfing daily and have his top blue band before the ship leaves from miami for bellas cruise. He stands up. I saw him surf on allure in dec. He will be your kindred spirit out there surfing.

So.. What did you take to help? My ankles balloon up every time we cruise to the Caribbean.. Humidity, alcohol, and Sodium for a week doesn't bode well for the ankles!
