I personally burn within 15 minutes of sun exposure. Sunblock often washes off easily for me so I end up with burned spots. In America and many other countries, it’s normal to buy “UPF” shirts which are specifically sold for the purpose of wearing in pools, oceans, at the beach, etc. I don’t wear the shirt anywhere else, and I assure you it’s not sweaty.

frewuent usage of sunblock is also… not great for your health either. The chemicals do absorb into your skin, and while it’s better than sunburn, it’s better to avoid the whole situation and just use UPF shirts to reduce the amount of sunblock necessary.

Celebrity doesn’t do anything about it because there’s nothing wrong with it, even if it is uncommon in your country.

and re: WiFi not working in some countries.. I agree that they could do a better job communicating it, but you can also easily look it up yourself on starlink’s coverage map. If coverage is super important to you, in addition to starlink, you can buy a travel eSIM…

and beyond that, it’s a cruise ship… it’s honestly silly to expect communications to be 100% reliable.

Mmmm.... didnt see nobody checking about tshirts brand/ quality... should sunburn be your problem why go to the pool? My old mother suffers incontinence, so she refrains too. Lolol.

As for wifi, premium is working quite fine. Pblem is Celebrity charged 12 days not telling even in fine print we we,re going out of it for 2 days. So a refund is mandatory... i guess they hate it, made some maths, probably some 14.000US$ to cash out.

I have also experienced some ports that had a long line to get back ON the ship and there was a separate line for Suites, so we were able to skip the line and walk right on.  Very helpful at warm ports.

Yes! We experienced this in Cozumel. We were trudging our way to the end of the line when Gazelle, the Retreat concierge recognized us and brought us right up to the gate. She was holding a paddle that said Suite Priority.

As of today i,m sailing on Celebs Edge. No priority embark/disembark which i truly missed while in Mumbai, on 3000 fellow passengers going thru slow Inmigration, me meeting people for bsness. If you pay for it, Celeb should deliver. All is wrong in this ship, always delayed because of bad management, money refunded because of wrong info on tours already paid, services missing, such as fruits and tea mid afternoon, and shortages in wifi even if i paid premium.

People going into the pull tshirts on, so much for health policy, lol.

In all, chose another line.

I’m on the same sailing as you.
if you are in the retreat, you could go there and they escorted you off in Mumbai. You still needed to stand in line for immigration.

They did the same in Cochin if needed.
They delivered a letter (same morning as arrival).

And they don’t have a red carpet on return. But in Mumbai, we just raised our cruise cards and we were told to just go in front of the line for boarding the ship.

as for Phuket, its tender operation.
You can again just ask the retreat and you will get priority to go off the ship.

If you are Elite or higher in Captain Club, you have priority tender in Phuket.

Or they can go to the pool in a clean t-shirt that's perfectly acceptable, whether SPF rated or not, and no one should care.

What policy are you speaking of?  I know of no restrictions regarding T-shirts in the pool.

in fact, when the officers versus passengers volleyball takes place,, the officers themselves often wear T-shirts in the pool.

most kids/ teens  where we are ( NY & Fl) wear the sunguard swim sets:  tops and bottoms  Adults  also wear in Fl for beach,  pool and boating..

easy to rinse out and quick dry..compared to a water soaked cotton tee..whaever works !

I was one of those who would feel like an entitled snob by walking on the red carpet.  I never used it no matter what.   I confess I use the priority boarding for tender boats, and even then I feel pretty awkward doing it.  At least that's a published perk which is my rationalization.

Aint that sweet of you? O well, i hope u dont feel like an entitled snob ( ur words) having meals on an exclusive restaurants, or being allowed to breath fresh air on your suite, while all of us on Aquaclass and below can open balconys depending on Captains mood as it wastes A/c

Whatever u say, going dressed inside a public pool is antisanitary for others who use to shower instead of wearing their sweated dirty shirts in to the water.

If you want to talk about "antisanitary" (sic), SWIMMING in public pools is unsanitary in general, and what's the difference between wearing shirts vs wearing shorts lol?

For the life of me I cannot figure out why people that hate the IV so much continue to book cruises on a ship that only has IV's for the class of cabin they choose to sail in.  If you want a true balcony, book a suite on E-class or any balcony cabin on M & S class.
