Dumb question…did room service change recently?

So I haven’t cruised in a few years. I was reading a different thread and noticed the breakfast room service menu had prices for sandwiches. Is room service not free anymore? The last time I cruised  there was plenty of free items, but you could choose to pay for “upgraded” food items (I specifically remember sweet potato fries), if you so desired.

Continental breakfast is still free.  Everything else has an associated charge.

And no more ordering breakfast with a door hanger.  You now have to call to order. 

 

I've seen mixed reports about whether you can order the night before or have to call in the morning.  I'm sure someone will chime in as to whether this is now consistent across the fleet.

Calling the morning of is Carnival policy  if it's enforced is another matter

Guess too many cruisers are hung over to answer the door from the night before and

forgot they ordered anything.

Thanks for the laugh. The only thing that's consistent is inconsistency. Panorama no problem, Magic big problem both within 60 days.
